Answer:
Hi, This is Lisa from GE. I am happy to help. The warranty on this unit is a one year return to vendor warranty. You would want to return the unit to the dealer from where you purchased it, with the receipt. They will exchange it for you. I hope this helps! Thank you for choosing GE!

There is NO warranty. They are flawless in my opinion and experiences. Plug it in at the store to double check, and let it cool for 2-3 minutes. Rebox it, check out and go. Installs in 10 minutes, IMHO.
Superior performance has been my experience.

On the lower end $$$ cost of AC window units, there is NO warranty. Mainly because they could be used for a week or two then returned for no apparent reason. Larger units have warranties. I suggest you open the box and plug it in, at the store; just to make sure it comes on and cools. Then you are good to go. Simply a great buy and a very reliable product. I keep a backup in my garage for emergencies. :) Read Less

Answer:
It dispenses out of the back, bottom of the unit. It must be installed at a slight angle to drain properly. Wasn't a problem at all because the unit is so small, and the tilt happened on its own for my window. If you have a storm window, you might need to adjust more than I did for my double hung window.

Answer:
Hello- This is Lisa from GE. I am happy to assist you.
This room air conditioners have a "slinger ring" around the rear fan blade. The ring is designed to pick water up off the bottom of the pan and throw it against the condenser coils. This design feature helps improve the efficiency of the unit by reducing heat on the coils, and helps remove moisture from the pan.
Thanks for checking!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome Airconditioner This product is excellent ! Very easy to put together. The brackets and sliding side shades were real easy to put on machine. That's all you need is a Philips screw driver. Blasts cold air and that's not even at the coldest settings. The room was nice and cold in no time. The price is real good to. Good quality machine. Looks real nice but runs even better. Quiet too, not too loud . Wasn't too heavy to lift. I'm in my 50's and was able to lift this into the window. Just a great air condition. Would highly recommend . Nancy July 19, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good for a small room We bought two of these a few years back. Still have one and it cools well, although it's getting past its prime now. Extremely lacking in features. Very basic reliable A/C. May 2, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Awful crackling sounds coming from this unit I just bought this unit today and it is making very noisy crackling sounds on every setting -- it's very noticeable when it's set on low. On high you can almost pretend you don't hear the sounds but my son actually said he "might turn it off" because of these noises. Can you please give me some advice on how to fix this problem GE? It's a good size for my son's room and seems to cool well. If we can get rid of these annoying noises, we'd be happy. But right now, I am very annoyed. September 1, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good for our health We have breathing issues, and our air conditioner really helped us when the humidity was high. November 21, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great features Excellent value. We used this as temporary air until we replaced our furnace. November 12, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Cools better than expected This window A/C unit cooled an attic space a little larger than its rated cooling capacity better than expected. The remote is very easy to use and the automatic settings control is a great feature. November 5, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Piece of junk Compressor broke after 4 weeks. On the bright side, I saved the receipt and had no issues returning it to Home Depot. October 4, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Garbage - Didn't even last 2 months Started working fine. 6 weeks into this summer, this stupid thing stopped cooling properly and started icing up, bottom to top. Niether GE nor Home Depot will stand behind my purchase because it's a discontinued product. I'll take my business elsewhere and I'll smash this stupid worthless air conditioner with a sledge hammer!
