Yes, it does. There is a depression area in the bottom of the oven cavity where one pours water for the steam clean feature.

Yes, it is. The convection feature works great. You can either use the auto temperature conversion feature which is the default, or turn that off. I prefer the latter, so I know exactly what temperature I'm baking at.

It does have a brown hue to it after using the glass top for a longer heating time, but this comes off easily with a gentle scrubber and the glass top cleaner.

I've only had this appliance for one month, but there has been no discoloration despite my many cooking spills to clean up. I like the fact that the bisque surface is speckled and not too shiny, so that fingerprints do not show up. Cooking spills do not seem to faze the circular line markings that designate the "burner" areas.

Hi, This is Kim with GE. Thank you for your interest in our GE 30" Free-Standing Electric Range with Warming Drawer, model number JB705TTCC.
The glass top is bisque glass. Cleaning after each use of the cooktop with cleaning cream will keep the cooktop looking new and easy to clean. Ceramic cooktop cleaning creams are the best.
For Heavy, Burned-On Residue:
1.Allow the cooktop to cool.
2.Spread a few drops of Cerama Bryte over the entire burned-on area.
3.Hold a razor scraper at approximately a 45º angle against the ceramic glass surface and scrape soil. It will be necessary to apply pressure to the razor scraper in order to remove the residue.
4.Keep small amount of cream on the residue as you scrape.
5.After scraping with razor scraper, use the scrub sponge to remove any remaining residue.
6.For additional protection, after all residue has been removed, polish the entire surface with the Cerama Bryte and a paper towel.
If pots with a thin overlay of aluminum or copper are allowed to boil dry, the overlay may leave black discoloration on the cooktop. This should be removed immediately before heating again or discoloration may be permanent. Carefully check the bottom of pans for nicks, gouges, or any rough area as these types of imperfections will scratch the cooktop.
Potential For Permanent Damage From Sugary Spills and Melted Plastic Our testing shows that if you are have a spillover from high sugar mixtures or melted plastic you should:
1.Turn off all surface units. Remove hot pans.
2.Wear an oven mitt.
3.Use the razor scraper to move the spill to a cool area on the cooktop.
4.Remove the spill with paper towels.
5.Any remaining spillover should be left until the surface of the cooktop has cooled.
6.Do not use the surface units again until all residue has been completely removed.
Plastic or Porcelain from a Teapot
If any plastic, or porcelain from a teapot, melts/hardens onto the glass it usually cannot be removed because it bonds to the glass. The cooktop glass will have to be replaced.
I hope this helps. If other questions come up, please let us know. Thank you for buying GE. Read Less

We recently replaced our last GE stove which we loved with this similar model. Unfortunately the dark glass top was no longer available for the bisque stove so we bought the model with the light glass top. I try to be a neat cook, but even the slightest food spill causes such a burned on mess that it takes a long time to clean the stove after each meal. We use the Cerama Bryte as recommended in the brochure but this wont work until the burned on food is scraped with a razor first. I cook a lot and daily clean up is just such a chore, but the stove looks terrible if I don't constantly clean it using this time consuming method. I wish you still made the black glass top for this model! Any other hints for easier clean up?

Cleaning with the cleaning cream after each use of the cooktop will keep the cooktop looking new and easy to clean. Ceramic cooktop cleaning creams are the best. It is also recommend to use the razor scraper or a non-scratch scotch brite pad.
While the top does require maintenance, it is mush easier than cleaning the old style drip pans and trim rings.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by FANTASTIC I cant say enough how thrilled I am with the new range. Needing Bisque I was a bit shocked to see the model was being phased out so I bit the bullet and purchased it to replace my perfectly good NON Convection GE Profile range. The larger 12"burner is perfect and the convection oven works wonderfully. Being a bit of a foodie who photographs my food to send to all my friends I cant rate this range high enough. I know I'm going to have to clean the bisque top more often than the dark top of my old model but its something to be expected. THANKS GE!!!! Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Daily cooktop cleaning required. I can find no pot or pan that does not leave a mark on the stovetop. I buffed and sanded our old stuff to a high sheen and then we bought $150 of new Stainless pans. Everything leaves a mark, so unless you plan on scrubbing the stovetop every evening, take a pass on a white/beige cooktop. Tired of this already and it has not been a month yet. My wife is still trying to learn where to set the dials to cook. She cannot find any setting that "simmers". Even the "melt" setting boils water. Hopefully she can resolve this problem. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great features!! I've owned this range for a few months now and I love the flecked almond colored cook top, so easy to clean.  The self cleaning oven is wonderful!!  The only negative thing I could say is that the oven takes quite a long time to preheat, but I suspect that could be because of how big it is, which I love, so it's worth the extra preheat time. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great value I purchased this GE range as a replacement for a 16 yr old GE profile glass top range, which just needed to be updated. I find the element speed, such as the two element power boil, as well as the three ring larger cooking circle to be a great improvement over the prior model. I am thrilled to have the warming drawer, as well as the new warming element on top. We like to entertain, and this comes in very handy. My old range also had a convection oven, which I found difficult to use due to conversion. This one makes it easy, with a conversion feature, and I love the more even heat that comes with convection baking. Overall, a great value and a great update for my kitchen. The only downfall is the gap (which is needed for the venting of the oven element), between the oven door and the warming drawer. Wish another solution would be possible. Still love the range. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very happy with this range! My first smooth top range and I'm very happy with how easy it is to keep the burners clean, as well as the ability to turn down the heat for a controlled simmer. Also impressed with how evenly the convection oven bakes. And the light-colored smooth top is uniquely attractive amongst the sea of black-top ranges--so glad this excellent appliance was available in bisque to match my kitchen. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] September 25, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stove! Haven't had the stove quite two weeks yet, but I'm so pleased with it so far. Been working on breaking it in, it works beautifully. Very pleased with the performance and ease of operation, love all the features ( I have not needed to use either of the self clean features yet). Glad to have purchased an "American made product"! March 12, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Really like having 3 racks in the oven Since I bake many cookies, having 3 racks with many adjustment possibilities makes cookie baking faster and easier. Control panel is easy to read and directions for use are simple. Oven temperature seems stable with minimal heat leakage from door. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] July 11, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very poor performance Had this range for 6 mos. Very disappointed . Takes too long to preheat. The white top has to be cleaned each time it's used with a cleaner. Oven was too hot. Had it adjusted by a service tech. Still too hot. This will be my last GE appliance purchase. March 13, 2013
