So far, we are happy with our new GE stove.
It was easy to install, easy to use, and makes our kitchen look better!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Jerry Upgrade from GE white range to GE Stainless with glass top.
The delivery folks were excellent. Purchased from Home Depot because of excellent delivery/installation experience when purchasing a refrigerator. The sale price was also a factor. The range installed without problems. Even though we do not use the range very much, we are learning that stainless requires more TLC to keep it looking good. Also, the glass top requires more care. Have had things stick to glass which were almost impossible to remove. The old white, conventional element stove required a lot less cleaning and care. Stainless is very popular and does look good. The Home Depot Salesman was very good as were the delivery people.

I replaced a beige GE profile range that came with our house with this one.
THERE IS NO BOTTOM ELEMENT. I have yet to figure out how to cook a Papa Murphy's pizza without a soggy bottom...and yes I've tried convection and no convection.
It takes 18min to reach 425, then in order to be more energy efficient it drops the temperature 15-20 degrees while baking. When cooking at 350 it drops temp by 10-12 degrees. So I adjust up 10-15 degrees and cooking times are the same as before. (I have a professional grade thermometer that is accurate to the degree)
The cooktop is much, much, much, much harder to keep clean than my previous GE profile.
I wish I had kept my old stove, I'm so disappointed.

I have always had white and wish I had purchased this range in white instead of stainless, also wish the cooktop wasn't so black and so slippery, I had a smooth top kitchen aid before and really liked it, but this stove is a lot harder to keep clean and the fry pans and pots move way to easy on this cooktop. I do like the heating elements better on this range, when you select low, it really is low and it also has 2 butter melt and 1 warming element along with convection oven, self clean & steam clean oven also has hidden lower oven element which makes cleaning the oven easy, , just remember when you order stainless, only the front is stainless, the sides are black and it looks really bad next to a white refrigerator, I did not know the sides were black or I would have ordered white..

Buyers remorse here for buying this product based on recommendations and reviews. Migrated from a coil top range to this fancy stuff and am disapointed.
The range top is okay if you only need to use 2 pots. If you need to use all 4 burner with decent size pots, the control panel protrudes over the back burners hence you can only use 2 really small pots for the back burners

Gave this as a gift to our parents (installation and take-away included). The service was great. The stove fit as described. Controls were easy for them to understand. The cooktop temperature regulation is great. Clean up is a snap. Great stove for the money.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by hdgshopper Very disappointed in the smooth top - scratches easily.
Too early to tell on the features yet but within a week I had deep scratches on the smooth top!. This is the 7th smooth top oven that I have owned. Four of them are currently in rental properties (8 - 12 years old) and none of them have any scratches. This surface is made out of a different material that easily scratches. Disappointed since I was waiting for so long to replace my own stove to have it ruined so quickly.

For my needs, it is a great product especially with the sale price. My previous ge smooth cooktop range lasted just over 18 years. I hope this does well, too. I like the bottom element is not exposed...you just have the smooth oven bottom...check it out. We don't have gas utilities here, so this performs very well for electric. Delivery was a snap.
