I believe that the answer is yes. There is a "Convention Bake" button on the panel. We have only had the range for a short time and my wife does not do much baking. She has used the oven without pushing the convection bake button.

Hello - this is Nancy at GE and I am happy to help you.
Yes, you can use the "Bake" function or the "Convection Bake" function. There are two separate pads to press depending upon which one you would like to use.
I hope this helps! Thank you for contacting GE!

I would be careful when dealing with Sears. We purchased a range and they added a $65 delivery charge, even though we live about 2 miles from the store. When I rechecked the register slip and found the extra charge, I cancelled the purchase and purchased from Home Depot. I saw dozens of Sears adds, all saying that there is free delivery on appliances. Some had a price of $399 and above. Many did not have the $399 limitation. In spite of all the adds, the local Sears store added the $65 charge. I was not told about the charge. When cancelling the order, the store owner said that she always told people about the charge. I was carefully listening to her because she was offering all types of discounts if we opened a Sears Card and charged the purchase on that card. Even though I am getting older and my hearing is getting worse, I have post graduate degrees in business and really watch the dollars. I certainly would have picked up on the additional $65 if told. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by New GE Oven So far, we are happy with our new GE stove. It was easy to install, easy to use, and makes our kitchen look better! September 24, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Upgrade from GE white range to GE Stainless with glass top. The delivery folks were excellent. Purchased from Home Depot because of excellent delivery/installation experience when purchasing a refrigerator. The sale price was also a factor. The range installed without problems. Even though we do not use the range very much, we are learning that stainless requires more TLC to keep it looking good. Also, the glass top requires more care. Have had things stick to glass which were almost impossible to remove. The old white, conventional element stove required a lot less cleaning and care. Stainless is very popular and does look good. The Home Depot Salesman was very good as were the delivery people. August 2, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love this stove I purchased this stove about a year ago. I wanted to use it before I wrote a review. I am not disappointed. I use it every day and I love it. The burners heat up quickly and stay at a nice even temp. I like the 2 choices on one burner. The convection oven works great when baking 2 cookie sheets and many rack positions. I have put a few scratches in the slate finish on top just from use. That will happen when you use it. The ceramic top cleans easily also. I have used a cast iron skillet on it and it did leave a scar but it's dark like the top so I can live with it. I really do love the oven and I'm glad I bought it. August 22, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by nice range only had it a week like convection, like the sleekness and overall look. If it is as good as other GE products it would of been a good purchase. August 1, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not too happy... I replaced a beige GE profile range that came with our house with this one. THERE IS NO BOTTOM ELEMENT. I have yet to figure out how to cook a Papa Murphy's pizza without a soggy bottom...and yes I've tried convection and no convection. It takes 18min to reach 425, then in order to be more energy efficient it drops the temperature 15-20 degrees while baking. When cooking at 350 it drops temp by 10-12 degrees. So I adjust up 10-15 degrees and cooking times are the same as before. (I have a professional grade thermometer that is accurate to the degree) . The cooktop is much, much, much, much harder to keep clean than my previous GE profile. I wish I had kept my old stove, I'm so disappointed. August 25, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome stove Love the many features and quality of GE. Totally awesome stove July 29, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Don't like the stove! Poor cook top! Does not regulate the heat very well. July 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GE oven We chose this GE oven primarily because of GE's long standing reputation for making reliable products. We are so happy with this oven -- in addition to the four burners which heat up quite quickly with small and large burner options, there is a fifth burner that is a warming area and I find this feature to be quite helpful. I haven't tried the convection aspect of the oven yet, but I'm certain it will not disappoint. A great choice in stainless with a microwave to match. June 17, 2016
