CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 679 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent price and features It is not a fancy unit, but it works well, cooks evenly, and appears to be well built. It replaced a built-in cooktop-oven from the 1960s. It has been in our home only a week, but it was easy to install and I love the ability to raise the top for easy clean up after boil overs (first hand experience here). If you are looking for a basic free-standing range, I certainly would recommend looking at this one. November 19, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great range This range looks nice and is easy to use. The burners heat quickly and are very flat so pans heat evenly. The oven is large and heats evenly and is self cleaning. Love the large door window. The utility drawer opens easily and holds several pots and pans. Expensive looking product at a great price. October 22, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good stove Basic stove that gets the job done. When baking it stays relatively cool on the outside, not like other low end stoves that heat your whole house and pose a fire hazard. The service by Homedepot was very poor. The stove arrived dented. Offered to take $75 off but of course I was never credited back the money. November 12, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great value A good range at a great value. Had it for two weeks and works great. Some of the other ovens I looked at in this price range seemed flimsy. This one is solidly built. January 28, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Basic Range! Pros: 1) Provides a high quality oven door gasket encompassing almost the entire oven door, including the bottom edges, except for the bottom center approximate seven inches! (Most oven door gaskets from other manufacturers only provide a minimal silicon gasket, encompassing only the top edge of the oven door -- even on some gas models!) 2) Self-cleaning 3) Supposedly, the range elements are adequate for large pressure canners, without requiring buying more heavy duty pressure canner range elements. 4) The display is well lit, easily read and easily used. 5) Knobs look funny, but they're intended to be much larger then other knobs with the likely intention for easier grasping! Cons: 1) I'm not a fan of the bubble buttons. My past history with such buttons shows they tend to malfunction under long period usage. This GE model seems to have a pretty sturdy bubble button panel though. 2) It would be nice to see the current oven temperature while the oven is preheating. I tend to put items into the oven at approximately 70% of the set oven temperature in an attempt to save some energy. All in all, looks to be another fine well made GE product providing the consumer with a product providing all the consumers needs at a very affordable price! I have already used the range and oven, along with using the range for making & canning my home made chicken soup with using the larger stock pots and larger All-American pressure canner with no problems.
