I'm loving this stove. It looks great -- I love the bold stainless look -- and so far everything works great! The main things that sold me on this stove were the overall appearance and the oval center burner with cast iron griddle. I also love that each burner has a different heat capacity. The big digital display with 2 colors is a great feature, and I love the fact that I can punch in numbers directly rather than having to push a button over and over again to get to the setting I want. (I had to push a button about fifty times to set the timer on my old stove.) Another feature that is so much better than my old stove is the deeply recessed top that tapers up at each burner, which prevents spills from getting into burner crevices. At first I wasn't sure I'd like the dark gray top, but now that I have it I actually like it better than black. I've had the stove a couple of months now, and so far I have no regrets. I guess the real test will be whether it keeps working great after 10 or 15 years. Hopefully it won't disappoint.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Sandy 4 damaged stoves and GE doesn't care.
This range was delivered to me with pitting on the enamel cooktop. Places where the enamel didn't cover the underlying metal. Since I didn't want future corrosion I sent the range back. The next had scratches on the enamel and the stainless. I sent that back. The third had scratches on the control pad and the stainless plus the warming drawer on the bottom was hanging about an inch lower on one side. They sent a fourth range out with a white glove inspection. Since the range was taped shut & in its original plastic wrap that inspection was impossible. As the delivery man took the plastic off in my driveway you could immediately see a large gouge, not scratch, out of the side. We had only uncovered about 4 inches of the range. I sent that back. GE said it couldn't guarantee me a range undamaged. There is obviously a problem in the packaging as the damage was under the plastic wrap. I sent that back and got a perfect Samsung on the first try. I really liked all the features of the GE range but I didn't buy a floor model and I don't think it was too much to ask for an undamaged range. No one would buy a car with damage on it so why would I buy an $1100 range with damage? They did offer $125 and eventually $250 for the damage. I didn't want a range that would rust or corrode in the future. It would cost more than $250 to replace and that isn't covered in the warranty. I also received a dishwasher with a scratch and a refrigerator with a dent inside. I was willing to live with that but the range was the last straw. This is the Adora brand made specifically for Home Depot.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by GE12345 Control panel stopped working after 9 months of use
One day, during 30 min baking, the control panel stopped working all of a sudden. It's only been 9 months and I haven't been able to use the oven since. My last GE gas range lasted 8 yrs. I only replaced it because of problem with the stove starter. The quality of this stove is no where near my last one.

Honestly I only have great things to say about this oven! I love baking and after a lot of research online I decided this was the one for me and I haven't been disappointed! Truly all the desserts taste even better with the use of the convection oven and it is very simple to use and understand. I have found cooking times haven't really changed much with changing over to convection. This was my first stainless steel appliance so I was a little worried about fingerprint and keeping it clean but I have found it really isn't bad. I like using a little paper towel and lightly soapy water to clean over the sprays they sell, it streaks less.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Cookie has some design problems
I've had this for about 10 months now and waited to write a review until I had used it for awhile. The first thing I missed about our old stove is that there is no place to put a spoon down because of the grates, this is a real pain and I have to have a.plate on top of the stove to rest a spoon on. I've already had the company send out new burners because if you spill anything on them they stain and will not look clean. Also if your pans are on the back burners be very careful to not have them rub against the stainless steel because they'll leave scratch marks. You'll also need an electrical outlet behind this stove. Will tell you the oven door is open which you don't need to hear when you're trying to do something in the oven.flipping something over etc.. The stove works fine and the burners work for us with the different BTU's. I cook a lot so I hope it will last. Our old stove was 25years old and I miss the simplicity of the old gas stoves. You know what I mean.... On and off.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by SniffanyB Great for cooking large meals!
I love this stove/oven. I'm one to cook large meals every day for the most part and there is so much room on the stove to cook everything at once. I love that I can slide pots and pans around with the continuous grates. The drawer on the bottom isn't as study as I think the rest of the oven is but I only use it for larger pans that don't fit in my cabinet of which I hardly use anyway, so I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing in my opinion. I haven't used the oven enough to need to clean it yet but I'm excited to see how well the stream cleaner works. The ONLY bad thing I do have to say about it, is when I have to reach up in the top cabinet with me being kind of short, it's easy to hit the burner knobs and turn them with my stomach, I think it's just something I have to get used to with it being a bigger stove from my previous one.

Great features. The quick boil is very convenient and really cuts down boiling time. Stovetop has a lot of space, easily accommodates 5 pots. The grill is amazing.
Takes a lot of effort to clean, especially the grate covering the burners. The oven self clean feature works well, it does require a preliminary clean for tougher stains.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by lovetheGEstove Absolutely wonderful stove
I am an experienced baker and cook and have used top of the line ranges from Wolf to Bertazonni, when I cook/cater for customers special events. For my personal home use I purchased the 5.6 cf self cleaning, convection/regular bake stove in stainless steel. The stove was professionally installed. I have now had this range for nine months. I was wondering how difficult it would be to keep clean since the top grates seemed so bulky. It is EASY to keep clean and I have had no issues with the grate removal and placement..I have used the oven with traditional bake and convection bake. there are consistent excellent results depending on what I am baking. You know how the oven temperature must be even for souffle', every time the item comes out gorgeous. Wish that I could include a picture of something to prove this. I actually do not use the long oval burner and feel that it could of been a option rather than built in. ALL burners perform perfectly. The only issue that I would warn about is that the gas knobs tend to be easy to hit and open. I feel that the gas knobs should have a different design to use rather than a simple turn, possibly a push then turn.
I sincerely recommend this stove for all purposes, I really love the size, being a self/free standing. It is unobtrusive and fits well in my small kitchen. I love the usability. Really for the money I would purchase this stove again over the more expensive top brands. It cooks and bakes just as well without the heavy price tag.
