There is a strong smell of gas or some by product of the burning of the LP gas process that fills the kitchen and the rest of the house. Smells toxic so we open doors and windows to air it out. What do we do the remedy this problem.

It is completely different from the odor caused by the combustion of gas. Some people equate the odor of unburned gas to the smell of rotten eggs. It is not normal to smell unburned gas in your home, therefore, if you smell gas, you should:•Open the windows, •Do not touch electrical switches
•Extinguish any open flame, •Promptly call your gas supplier from a phone outside your home.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 265 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love my new range The range is easy to clean. Love the look of stainless steel and black. The grill/griddle is a great feature. September 22, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome range! I love this stove, I looked for a long time to find one with a griddle in the middle of the stovetop, and this one not only has a griddle, but a grill on the other side! The one downside is it's really heavy, feels like cast iron, and can't be thrown in the dishwasher. However, I'm sure that will make it last longer. The griddle fits in the burners, not on top, so it looks much more high quality. I love that I can cook eggs, pancakes, hot dogs, chicken, burgers, all without having to dirty other pans. It also comes with a regular burner to replace the griddle with if it's not in use. The burners are great also, very powerful. I would suggest getting covers for the burner knobs if you have small children, as they turn on really easy, but we found some nice ones easily that look great on the stove. The oven works great, haven't tried the convection yet or the cleaning, but the oven itself cooks fine. I would also suggest turning the oven on @ 400 degrees for about 30-40 min when you first get it, otherwise your first cooking dishes will taste awful from the smell that dissipates from the oven when it is first used. I also love that it has numbers on the top to set the time and temperature, instead of hitting the up arrow a lot of times to get where you want to be. I am super happy with oven, and glad I did the research and got the options I wanted instead of getting a cheaper one that didn't have all the options. June 2, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Stove for the Price The stove is a great deal. We were happy with it from the moment we started using it. I know many people have said the cast iron grates are a pain when cleaning but they are crazy. They are heavy because they are good quality. And they are very simple to remove for cleaning. They only weigh a couple of pounds each and are a snap to get on and off. The only negative I could find was that pots and pan tray. People are correct when they say it is cheap. We tried to put the cast iron griddle that comes with the stove and a cooking stone in the bottom and it make it unable to be used because it was too heavy. I plan to try and find a way to make it stronger but for now the only things I can keep in the bottom are cookie sheets and mixing bowls. But for less than 700 dollars I will not complain. It is something I can live with. December 21, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exactly what I was looking for. I had been wanting one for about 2 years at a good price. The thing I like best is the broiler at the oven top. I already had one with the broiler in the bottom drawer. What a pain. Also the different sized eyes and the large eye in the center for a grill. It lights quickly and is easy to adjust the flames. The only negative on this stove is the quality of the bottom drawer. It is substandard and difficult to open with only a dip in the top which is hard to pull. It was designed all wrong. But the stove still gets an excellent rating. December 9, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love my new stove I'm loving this stove. It looks great -- I love the bold stainless look -- and so far everything works great! The main things that sold me on this stove were the overall appearance and the oval center burner with cast iron griddle. I also love that each burner has a different heat capacity. The big digital display with 2 colors is a great feature, and I love the fact that I can punch in numbers directly rather than having to push a button over and over again to get to the setting I want. (I had to push a button about fifty times to set the timer on my old stove.) Another feature that is so much better than my old stove is the deeply recessed top that tapers up at each burner, which prevents spills from getting into burner crevices. At first I wasn't sure I'd like the dark gray top, but now that I have it I actually like it better than black. I've had the stove a couple of months now, and so far I have no regrets. I guess the real test will be whether it keeps working great after 10 or 15 years. Hopefully it won't disappoint. November 22, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by best stove ever owned Excellent features especially convection oven and steam cleaning oven. July 29, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by How do I get rid of new oven smell? So my husband always wanted a gas stove and we finally got one. I'm nervous to use it I guess it will take getting use to. I have a small teakettle and when I used it the first time it melted the cap where you open and pour. I had it on the lowest setting. Additionally I have turned on the oven at 350 for one hour at a time every day for 8 days (nothing in the oven) and the whole kitchen stinks of new oven or whatever. How do I get this to not smell? I have not cooked anything inside of the oven because of the terrible smell. Also the area where the burner knobs are located gets really hot when I have turned on the oven is that normal? Thanks once again have cooked with electric all my life perhaps just need to get use to it. Should I but different heavy cookware? September 13, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Happywife This stove is beautiful in the slate color. I grew up learning to cook on gas in Calif., moved to Ark. and have been stuck with electric for 25 yrs., almost burnt everything I cooked until now. Have had this range for 3 mths now and haven't burnt one thing. The oven cooks evenly and I love the convection oven. So happy we went with the griddle in the middle I use it for eggs, pancakes, hash browns, almost anything you can fry. Cleans up great and the slate is a perfect blend of warmth and modern look.
