Customer Questions & Answers

Do it make a difference if you use top of tank water or side water outlets. I have hooked to top tank is full but can't get any water. It is 6 gallon

Asked by: plumber
Hello Plumber - this is Bethany with GE. I am a bit stumped by your question because there are not top connections on our point of use water heaters. I hope this help!

Can this be added into an existing hot water supply line(s)? If so what other accessories would be required?

My master bathroom is the farthest hot water outlet from the existing 80 gallon HW heater at the other end of the house which is almost 50 feet away. I believe I have room under my bathroom sink countertops in an inside corner, so it will sit on the concrete floor out of view. I just want to reduce the waste of water while waiting on hot water for showers or baths.
Asked by: TXwalkerDIYer
Hi TX WalkerDIYER, Thank you for your question. According to the MFG, Yes you can tie in this heater to an existing hot water line. Other than plumbing to tie into the heater not accessories would be needed. Hope this helps.

Customer Reviews

6-Gal. Electric Point-of-Use Electric Water Heater is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from 6 Gal. Water Heater Installation was easy except for the electrical component. The electrician was brought in for the technical expertise. It does not plug in to an outlet. My unit is installed in a seasonal camp under a sink. I do wish the ability to drain the system easily at season's end was more readily thought out. I purchased this unit for the GE label which I trust. I wish it were manufactured in the USA instead of Mexico, but.....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from small spaces I had a small space to add a water heater, your 6 gal tank was excellent. What made it even better was it was a 120 volt, no exspense for upgrade to a 220 volt. It was easy to install, tme left for next project. Thanks Home Depot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Working wonderfully. What more can you ask for. My plumbers had no problem installing it. It had to go in the ceiling. Fit nicely in a small space.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from GE quality, good value Item was shipped promptly and arrived in good condition. Self-install was easy, except instructions did not explain the pipe socket on the bottom. Phone help clarified it was for a support pipe (not needed in my case). Unit has been working well for a month or so.
