Can I use an extension cord with a 6 outlet adapter? I am moving into a new apartment but since it is an old building I think that there may be one outlet for the entire room, so I may have to resort to using an extension cord as well as an adapter (for my TV/DVD/cable box).

Is this outlet one circuit or two? If I have a split outlet where half is switched, will this plug into both of my outlets, or only the top one?

Hi bill,
I'm Travis from The Home Depot. Thanks for visiting our site.
The amperage draw of a space heater is enough to max out a 15 amp circuit. Each additional lamp and appliance that is plugged into that circuit will team up to overload it.

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A Well Built Outlet Expander These are not exactly what I wanted. I prefer the design that fits flush against the wall with the outlet plate removed. These are still very good parts and function well. They have room for the plugs, which isn't always the case with expanders. June 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Outlet adapter I needed another one of these adapters but could not find one in a store that had the support screw in the middle so I bought two adapters that each had 3 outlets. What a waste of money because every time I unplugged something from them the whole thing came out of the outlet. That's why the screw hold in the middle is IMPORTANT. What I couldn't figure out is why they couldn't be bought in the store and I had to order it online. I checked 3 places and decided it was faster to order online and have it sent to the store. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Walk outlet It works great! Had another one for 11 years and Home Depot was the only place where I could get a replacement. Thanx! October 6, 2015
