Customer Reviews

60W Equivalent Reveal (2500K) A19 CFL Light Bulb (2-Pack) is rated 2.4 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Inadequate description, poor performance Nowhere, but nowhere, does it say on the packaging that the light is going to come on bright, and then dim after a period of time. That's exactly what this bulb does. Apparently, this light comes on bright with a halogen core and then switches over to CFL after a period of time. This is very frustrating. The first time it happened I thought the bulb was defective till I started to do some research. Again, I had to find the answers online since there was no mention of this fact on the packaging or store display. It wouldn't be so bad if the CFL eventually reached the same brightness as the startup but it never does. I question the claims of 750 lumens since this light, even after a lengthy warm up, seems much dimmer than the 60 watt incandescent it replaced. I kept the packaging, and shall be replacing them with something else ASAP.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Starts Bright but Dims These light bulbs promise to start bright and that there is no warm up time when you turn them on. While this is true, about 2 minutes after they have been on they dim just like all the other ones. They have a rosy light quality. Enegry savings and such are good but don't be fooled that they don't act just like every other energy bulb.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Consistency immediately after you turn on the light, the color is bright and the surroundings are illuminated with white light. After a minute or two, the color changes to a deep yellow hue. Not what I was expecting nor wanting, and it's too late to take it back.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Expensive and Doesn't Work Right Had to get a neighbor to help me change the bulb--otherwise I would be back at the store buying something else. This bulb starts fine and in a matter of seconds dims. A very expensive bulb that fails miserably.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love them We had been using other CFLs in our bedroom and were tired of how long it took to get to full brightness. These are bright immediately. After about a minute the halogen portion turns off as it should so you see them dim a hair when that happens, but that is so much better than waiting 30 seconds for full brightness. We have them in 2 ceiling fan fixtures and will soon use them on other ceiling fans as their regular bulbs expire.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Life is one year, NOT 9 years--Save your receipt I really would like the stores that sell these CFL units implement a system for returns when these expensive lights do not perform as advertised--who saves receipts for light bulbs. I guess I should have learned my lesson from the past when other lights failed before their time.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Average cost and quality The light from the bulb starts out bright and then dims slightly after a minute or so. In less than one week one bulb failed. I wish I would have spent a little bit more to purchase a LED type bulb.
