What is the CRI (Color Rendering Index) of this bulb? The Cree equivalent is 85. I found it strange that on an HD (High Definition) bulb the CRI wasn't easily found if even on the box. Yet Cree has it in bold lettering and easy to find.

However, having an LED that produces 80 - 82 CRI, which has been typical, in living room or kitchen areas especially, it's noticeable. Expect that CRI's are going to keep improving and prices dropping even more than what they already have. Read Less

It is replacing a similar Phillips LED bulb which I purchased about 6 months ago. The Phillips bulb stopped working after about 6 months. So much for a 10 year life. And it did not even go thru winter cold temps. The bulb prior to the Phillips was a CFL which lasted about 5 years. If these LED bulbs are only going to last 6 months, I want to go back to CFL. I am running the bulb all night so going back to incandescent is too wasteful of electricity. I will update this if the bulb fails before 5 years.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not Standard Size I love these lightbulbs for lamps or exposed lightbulb fixtures. However, they are not standard size which proved to be problematic when trying to reattach the glass light cover to my overhead lighting. They are slightly longer and I couldn't get the glass to fit flush to the fixture and couldn't screw in the cap to keep it all secured. So the 8 bulbs I purchased made their way into lamps and exposed fixtures.

Picked these up for a semi-flush bedroom ceiling fixture and paired them with a Leviton sureslide dimmer. The light put out by this bulb is uniformly warm across its dimming range and at full power these bulbs are BRIGHT! For a 60 watt equivalent LED these are exceptionally bright. As a very soft white warm colors really pop. Reds, oranges, yellows, and even greens pop. Blues are noticeably muted and purples bias towards red. Even with this the "High definition" label holds true with fine color detail in wood grain on trim and furnishings popping. These bulbs really shine for bedroom and exterior night time lighting. The word "Relax" on the packaging is an understatement. The diminished blue portion of the spectrum means that even with these bulbs brightly lighting my bedroom there wasn't any artificial "energizing" effect from the lighting which can be a problem with CFL and less soft LED bulbs.

I purchased them because of the rebate but really have come to appreciate them The light is not abrasive, it is really a lovely warm color. Abrasive might be the right term but you know how LED bulbs can have a certain off color to them that makes them tough to look at. Just not what my old eyes are used to with incandescant lights. But even my wife indicated the nice color rendition with these bulbs. I have tried other brands from other home improvement stores and warehouse clubs. These seem the best of the bunch so far.

Very good in normal on/off lights. color tone is similar to or identical to 3 other 60W 2700k LEDs I purchases and also very similar or identical to 60W CFLs (after the CFL is warmed up). The down side of this bulb is that when placed in a normal dimmer circuit or in a touch lamp (Lo/Med/Hi), the bulb hums, even when the dimmer or touch circuit is all the way on max. The other 60W dimmable LED bulbs I purchased to compare to (Cree and Ecosmart) did not hum on these types of circuits.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Nice Soft White LED This is a very nice LED light, and I'm very picky and sensitive when it comes to lighting. These bulbs come on instantly and I currently have 2 mixed in with one Incandescent in a 3 bulb wall sconce in my bathroom. You really can't tell it's an LED bulb, the incandescent is just a tad bit softer and warmer, but these come very close to perfect. To be honest I forgot I was using LEDs in my bathroom light fixture until I decided to write this review.

They were to replace some older dimmable lights that had burned out. The LED Lights worked great at full brightness, however when they were turned all the way down, they would only dim to about 50%. This left the room very bright. Not sure if you need a different Dimmer Switch to work with these or what. I will be returning these to Home Depot and trying a different light next time.
