CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 20 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice lights for a decent price Like any light bulb, easy to install and save me money May 12, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very Big Disappointment I used to get several years from an incandescent bulb. I purchased this bulb in April 2014. The package indicates a 7 year life. I didn't get a full year from this bulb. Both bulbs in the 2 bulb package have failed. Now I have to spend an additional sum 10 times the price of incandescent bulbs and have to hold them until I can properly dispose of them because of the mercury content. April 9, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by works as advertised I bought a two pack of the 20 watt bright from the start bulbs out of curiosity (75 watt equivalents). I was hesitant to replace my incandescent bulbs which give instant brightness in rooms where lights are turned on and off daily and for short periods. The gradual brightening of the CFLs was annoying. By replacing 2 incandescent bulbs in a bathroom that has 2 3-bulb fixtures, I was able to compare this bulb to the incandescents side by side. The GE bulbs worked great with the halogen component giving instant light while the fluorescent component warmed up. I honestly cannot tell the difference between both bulb types and the light color and warmth were remarkably similar. I am now no longer hesitant to replace my other incandescents with these fluorescent hybrids. February 28, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Led lighting Led light work well and are a good value for the price February 3, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Too early to tell I've purchased CFL bulbs in the past, when they first came on the market, I was not pleased with their performance. The new bulbs appear to come on faster and they look much better in the cieling fan. Too soon to know how well to bulbs will perform over the long run. January 20, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by annoying bulb I should have read the reviews first, but who does that when buying a simple light bulb? As advertised, instant on, but then it dims after about 30 seconds. Very annoying. Guest always ask what's wrong with my houses wiring - I always considered GE a good brand, I even own stock in the company. Now I'm switching - December 2, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice alternative to standard light bulb Could barely tell the difference between this CFL bulb and a standard 60 watt bulb. The GE bulb turned on immediately in full brightness unlike other CFLs that need to heat up to be full bright. Just make sure any dimmers or sophisticated switches are CFL compatible. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by There is definitely a defect with these bulbs. I bought several of these bulbs to use in fixtures in my house. The first 2 I put in my front porch lights. They have worked with no issues. In my kitchen fixture they flicker constantly. In my bath light fixture, however, the bulbs stop working within a few months. I change them with new bulbs and within a few months(sometimes they don't last that long) I have to change them again. I have contacted GE about this and all they do is send me coupons to get new bulbs. I am positive they know there is a problem with the bulbs but for some reason they don't seem to feel the need to correct it. The first time I requested a replacement I had to send the UPC from the box in order to get them replaced. The last time it was just an online fill in form that required no proof whatsoever that I had ever bought bulbs. Anyone could fill it out and get a coupon. If they didn't know there was a problem they would not be handing out coupons with a simple email request. You fill out a form and they send the coupons. Don't have to prove you even bought any bulbs. Going to drop all 20+ GE bulbs in the recycle bin at Home Depot and buy a few Cree LED's today. Problem solved! December 8, 2014
