60W Equivalent Soft White A19 CFL Light Bulb (2-Pack) is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 21.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from works as advertised I bought a two pack of the 20 watt bright from the start bulbs out of curiosity (75 watt equivalents). I was hesitant to replace my incandescent bulbs which give instant brightness in rooms where lights are turned on and off daily and for short periods. The gradual brightening of the CFLs was annoying. By replacing 2 incandescent bulbs in a bathroom that has 2 3-bulb fixtures, I was able to compare this bulb to the incandescents side by side. The GE bulbs worked great with the halogen component giving instant light while the fluorescent component warmed up. I honestly cannot tell the difference between both bulb types and the light color and warmth were remarkably similar. I am now no longer hesitant to replace my other incandescents with these fluorescent hybrids.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice alternative to standard light bulb Could barely tell the difference between this CFL bulb and a standard 60 watt bulb. The GE bulb turned on immediately in full brightness unlike other CFLs that need to heat up to be full bright. Just make sure any dimmers or sophisticated switches are CFL compatible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous Bulb!! This is a fabulous CFL! It fires up immediately - NO delay! The light is a pleasant yellow just like traditional incandescent bulbs. In fact, I switched out the bulbs in our kitchen, and my wife did not even notice! The price is very good - $10 for 2 bulbs. I highly recommend this bulb.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Keep your receipt I purchased 4 of these bulbs for a bathroom vanity light bar less than 2 years ago and so far 3 out of the 4 bulbs have failed. I don't know how much of a hassle trying to collect on the warranty would be, but I will be keeping all light bulb receipts and packaging from now on.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice bright blub I like the halogen bulb in the middle that lights up to give it an instant bright. After about 1 minute the halogen bulb turns off and it darkens a little until the CFL gets up to full temperature. It is a bit odd when you have 3 and have them all get a little less bright. I still like the instant brightness though. The bulb also is great for a fixture where you can see the bulb given that it is all enclosed much like a regular incandescent bulb. Not sure how long they will hold up, but so far so good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great bulbs, nice illumination I bought these bulbs because I like the CFL bulbs but hate the blue light you get from Flourescent bulbs and wanted to try something different. These produce a nice yellow glow like classic bulbs but with a CFL product that uses less energy. I marked the product down because I got a bad batch of bulbs with only one bulb working out of two. The first bulb worked for about 10-15 minustes and then went out. But, I was so happy with the light provided that I didn't want to bother with returns.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Product works well except in coldest weather. Bought 2 of these to use in the garage, one in automatic door opener and other in switched overhead light. In cold weather, the CFL still takes a bit to warm up and is dim after the halogen bulb has turned off. Might also be due to the bulb being switched on via a relay in the door opener though. The switched light comes on bright and stays bright when having to quickly do anything in the garage.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not your ordinary bulb Does not have a "start-up" time like most CFLs. Actually, when initially turned on, it is very bright and then, once the CFL is warmed up, the light actually dims a bit. So far, seems to be working well. We'll see how it works out in the long run - which I am expecting to be longer than my conventional lights that I replaced. Rated the value as average, since these have some cost that you feel.
