Customer Questions & Answers

How to program or make the power strip work?

I am not able to program the individual power sockets to turn on and off on the times I want it to. For example, I set socket #1 to turn on at 6am and off at 6pm, then set socket #2 to turn on at 6:30pm and turn off at 9;30 pm. It would simply just not work as to how I set it. All 4 programmable socket would turn on and off at the same time I set the #1 socket. Please help or give me a call. PLEASE HELP ASAP, BECAUSE I HAVE HAD THIS FOR AT LEAST 5 MONTH AND STILL TRYING TO FIGURE IT OUT!!!!!!!!

The 4 outlets that are timed have to share the same program and the other 4 outlets are live all the time.

If there is a power outage, will it come back on full time or what happens to your program?

Does it have battery to keep the program or does it depend on the power from the wall ? If it depends on power then what happens after a power failure?
Asked by: Anonymous
It's not going to work until the power comes back on. But, when the power does come back on, it will resume normal operation the way you set it. It will remember your settings because it has a button battery backup. You will not have to reprogram it.

Does this power strip control multiple lamps at DIFFERENT time settings?

I have a bearded dragon and they have day time lights and a night time one... soooo i need a timer that will turn on and run the day time lights until it is night then switch.
Asked by: Britt
No, That's the only drawback. I believe that the 4 outlets on the left side are all activated at the same time. The 4 outlets on the right side are always activated independent of the timer.

7-Day 8-Outlet Power Strip Timer is rated 2.9 out of 5 by 43.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unreliable I figured out that it has to cycle 1 day to start operating the timer side, which is inconvenient and just dumb. But a few weeks in it erased my programs. This was for an aquarium that needs light so it caused a setback. Unreliable for sustaining life, maybe useful for a desk lamp with a burned out bulb lol. More wasted $$ at The Chinese Depot.

Had to take it right back since power never went through it. What corporations fail to understand is that selling things that don't work doesn't make you want to drive a hundred miles to return it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works great if you make an adjustment to the battery The problem people are having are all related to the small battery being loose in the battery compartment. Unplug the power strip, open the battery cover and remove the battery. Bend the two metal springs that normally touches the battery outward so that when you put the battery back in, it fits snug. It takes very little effort and will solve all your issues with the timer losing it's settings and time.

Stoped working after we programed it - finally got the display to come back up and programed it, however it did not turn on the plug strip at the programed time. Seems to be Junk - will try one more time - but looks like it’s going back. It seemed too good to be true….

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great idea but.. very unreliable Owned for 3 months I bought 3! Two broke (no power) within a week. (returned, thanks HD!) Not due to overload. Programming would be great if it was reliable. Any adjustment must be monitored! Changes may not take. Even cycling thru modes, it may not take. (I am very tech savy.) Dont ever use this with anything important! BUT once you have verified your program is working, IT WORKS GREAT! It should work until you need to adjust the program again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from loses time, then timer quit working at all this looks like a great idea, but fails in execution. Since I had it set to start at 06:00 & shutoff at 11:59, I didn't notice at first that the clock was inaccurate by an hour after a month or so. I reprogrammed it, the clock seems to keep time ( for the last hour at least ) but the programming in auto mode doesn't work at all. The plugs work in manual mode, but not in timer. this goes back tomorrow and expect to see to mechanical timers in my house again. Or pro quality digital. FYI, the back of the box says this is not for use with aquariums. If you have expensive fish, don't go cheap on the timer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Limited functions It's a nice product, but the main problem is that the four outlets controlled by the timer cannot be programmed independently.
