Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 122 reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5 by way to loud for a bedroom As stated by another reviewer, the fan on this AC unit it way too loud. I bought this for my bedroom and we can't even use it. It is the loudest fan of any air conditioner I have ever used. And yes, I made sure it was installed correctly, and the unit does not have any lose screws, and I am running it on the lowest fan setting. The compressor, however, is pretty quiet. But that is probably because the fan is so loud that I cannot hear anything else. Additionally, you have to destroy the box to get the unit out of it! I think someone at the plant was trying to play a joke with the customers. Excessive use of tape. Probably so I can't return it, which I will try to do this week. June 22, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice, but loud A solid window air conditioner, but the fan is loud. Bought it for my home office, and it's too noisy to have it going when I'm trying to think! The compressor noise is average. Also, due to a new Energy Star regulation, this unit turns on in Energy Saver mode all the time. That is, the fan cycles on and off with the compressor. You can override this to keep the fan on constantly, but you have to remember to do so each time you turn it on. Whoever mandated that didn't do their homework - the fan in a typical air conditioner consumes 1 amp or less, the compressor consumes many times that. Keeping the fan going helps circulate the air and makes you feel cooler so the compressor doesn't have to run as much. So, the "Saver" feature might actually cost more! Then again, it does cycle off that loud fan... pretty sure I am going to return this. June 13, 2014
