Answer:
Absolutely not. Wire size is not large enough for a major appliance (fridge, freezer, clothes washer, window AC, etc.). Ideally you should not use an extension cord with a major appliance. But if you must I would recommend a 14 gauge or if the wiring in the wall will support it a 12 gauge. In any event use the shortest extension cord that will work. Best option is to have an electrician move the outlet. Read More

This is why an extension cord is not recommended for this application. Read Less

Answer:
Yes, provided that not more than one extension cord is used and the current rating of the unit is less than 7 amps. For window AC's use a 12 gage cord.

Answer:
As long as the refrigerator/freezer does not exceed the ratings of the cord then it should be ok to use it. The ratings are 13 amps, 125 watts, 1625 volts. Jasco Products Tech Support (Manufacturer)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Review for this 9 foot GE extension cord This is a good 9-foot heavy duty cord I’ve had this cord for some time now and it’s never let me down. This cord is perfect for use with electric drills, small hedge trimmers, work lights, and anything else that I’ve tried it for Pros: *Light weight yet heavy duty *9-foot reach *Bright orange color *3 prongs *Durable *Inexpensive Cons: *Could have come with a cable tie for easy storage 5 out of 5 TIP: Make sure you never coil your cords too tightly, or they’ll be hard to uncoil and wont lay flat on the floor.

Had been using a 50' and dealing with it being frozen and hard to manage. Now this length is perfect for the job! It would be great if it also came in green or brown (for lawn decorations) that don't need more than a few feet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Extension Cord Well, I needed a 3 prong heavy duty extension cord. This was inexpensive and heavy duty. It works like an extension cord should. There's not much more to elaborate on this purchase. There's nothing to assemble, You don't need instructions to follow. IT'S AN EXTENSION CORD!!
