Bought this direct ship microwave on sale after reading reviews on line and visiting Broomall, PA HD. Salesman worked hard to find it, and finally placed order in the white finish. We paid for delivery, installation, and removal of the old unit.
Two days later salesman called us after realizing he'd put the order in for stainless steel finish. Cancelled that, took a different credit card and put in for white finish. So far, so good.
Product delivered a week later on the scheduled date-- 3 hours later than the end of the 4 hour delivery window we were given in the robo call the day before, and we only learned they were severely behind schedule because WE called them. Not installed, though-- microwave was severely damaged, although the packaging was intact. We surmise that the GE line workers needed to meet some sort of quota and packed up a bad one, kicking the can down the line.
HD called within the hour to reschedule. Again we were given a 4 hour window. Again they missed the window, this time by just shy of 3 hours. And the distribution folks at HD never, ever called me to tell me they would be late. I called them twice. What's more, neither the drivers nor the dispatcher ever called to give the 30 minute promised warning of arrival. When they finally arrived, they removed the old machine, hung the wall bracket, and spent the next half hour trying to get the through-the-cabinet bolts to thread into the top of the machine. Either the machine bolts were the wrong thread (very fine, to my eye) or the install crew stripped the threads, preventing them from working (one install guy said he's seen it time and time again on GE microwaves, the other seemingly more experienced guy said he'd never seen it). HD never called to reschedule the install.
Anyway, the microwave left, again, on the truck on which it arrived, and I cancelled the order this morning. Like most customers, I can't afford to miss 2 days of work for an appliance purchase. I will never again deal with HD for appliances. Perhaps the worst thing is that I can't even find anyone to complain to about the delivery experience. HD has a contractor who the customer never can communicate with. When you call the 800 number on your purchase docs, you talk to HD people, who put you on hold while they call the delivery contractor. On 3 of the 4 occasions I called the HD folks, they had to call me back because they couldn't reach the delivery contractor. BTW, the 2 man team who attempted delivery #2 had nineteen (19) installations scheduled on the day they arrived at my home at 5:15, and I was number seven (7).

We but for one thing, this is quite a fine MW. It installed easily; the templates were all perfect. The hanging bolt have room for error so I do not understand how anyone complained about those...However, my display is so dim I cannot see it when the lights are on. It is not a tenth as bright as its namesakes accompanying range. I called HD who referred me to GE. They promptly sent out a tech who replaced a circuit board. No improvement. I called GE again who transferred me around for a while and then suggested I call Consumer Relations on Monday during regular business hours on the East Coast...Home Depot has offered to take it back if I cannot get this problem solved. However, I would like to know if this dimness is normal? I can't imagine it is and see no mention of similar concerns in any of the review. See pic for yourself and decide. Thank you for the feedback. I will edit this rating when this is resolved.

Excellent product and instellation was simple. Price was awesome and home delivery was speedy. All in all,was a terrific purchase from a top notch home depot outlet as usual.

I owned one before and it served us well for 9 years. Since the mounting hardware was in place, a swap out was easy.

I've had the microwave about two months now. I found the quality of construction to be great. There are many features for cooking. I like the looks of it. I like the interior space. The turntable is slightly recessed into the bottom of the unit, meaning I have more flat space to put larger dishes on. I am happy with this microwave. Installation was slightly tricky. Do not follow the template for the holes to drill. The locations on the template were off by about 3/4". Use a measuring tape, much better. So far that is the only negative thing I have to say about it.

We chose to have microwave installed by delivery men. They did a great job, hauled away our old appliance, and did all in a timely manner. Panel with print selections for cooking is smaller than my old GE profile, but that is my only negative. Overall very happy with this purchase!

The microwave worked great, venting was what we had hoped. Was disappointed when it burned out after 18 months. With the warranty expired, I was quoted more than I had originally paid for the item, to get it repaired. I agreed and after the third trip and three weeks I was told it was not repairable.

For $220 on sale at Home Depot, it is a great value if a basic unit is all you want. Quality of unit is a reflection of the price.
Replaced an Advantium unit ($700) with this one and this weighs about a quarter of the old one and of course does not have convection or all the bells and whistles but again for a basic unit, fits our needs.
Old one lasted 13 years. Don't expect that from this one.
