For years I paid $47 monthly for a monitored security system, after retiring from work I decided to cancel the subscription but still wanted something to alert me to any doors or window that were opened.
In theory this is exactly what I needed, however, I did not find it to be the easy fix everyone seems to think it is..I had a few problems. #1 I bought the Control Center and what I thought was additional window/door sensors (they were not) I took the extras back only to find they did not carry this one..the one I needed. I had to order more online. #2 I live in an older house and my doors and facings all have curved moldings making it hard if not impossible to line the sensor and the magnet up without having to cut into my woodwork OR modify one in a manner that is not attractive especially for a main entry door. #3 My entry door is metal..they recommend mounting the sensor to a wood facing if the door is metal..this door is going to be such a problem (metal and alignment) I may have to mount to my storm door. #4 While 2 of my units programmed without issue to my Control Center, I have not been able to get the 3rd unit to work even after several times of removing and reassigning it to a zone on the Control Center.
Overall I am pleased with the performance of the product. The Control Center is compact as are the sensors and they look nice. I am not crazy about the notification "chime" calling it a chime is stretching it but it makes a loud sound that can be heard from other rooms in the house and that is what I wanted (don't expect it to sound like a doorbell). I found assigning the units before mounting them to be the easiest for me (this was after I learned that they are not very forgiving of anything less than a near perfect alignment). Buy extra double sided mounting tape..you will more than likely need it.
If I had it to do over..I would probably just go with individual units that do not tie into a Control Center (live and learn) but I had already ordered items online (including the key fob), bought and took back items, etc...in other words, I was too far in to turn back. Make sure all you need is easily available, look at the levelness of your door as it relates to your door facings and be prepared for a little frustration but for what you pay...it appears to be a pretty good system.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by dm85 This product is relatively easy to install and use.
While the sensors are easy to install and use, they are somewhat susceptible to false alarm notices because of heating and cooling of surfaces to which they are attached (like metal doors). Alignment can be a bit tricky to maintain. Battery life is as advertised (2 years or so). The sensors are a bit difficult to open for battery replacement.

We had 3 door sensor installed. The light on the controller blinked constantly after the door was used. Had to reopen and close the door often just to get the red light from blinking. Our home is less than 1200 sq feet so distance wasn't an issue. Just spend your money on the motion sensors for your home. They work great.

We use these and other devices to monitor access to our home and yard. The two parts of the window/door sensor must be within 1/2 an inch of each other when the door/window is closed or the response is unreliable. 1/2-inch or closer and it works every time.

These are easy to use. Not hard to install. I have not changed the batteries in them why they are mounted so we will see how the goes.
