It's a LOT better than using a filtered pitcher or faucet attachment. I was worried about the water pressure, but it's great. Definitely a good buy.

I installed this about 2 years ago. It filters well and has not leaked. However, we have to replace the entire unit now because it no longer passes water through. With the second set of filters we started getting reduced/no flow and it would make loud hammering noises. Turns out the little plastic cams on the filters that push the plastic valve in the housing in to open the flow are not tall/robust enough (see picture). Temporary solution is to pinch them up with pliers, but eventually they wear again and water stops flowing before the filter should be replaced. Now there is something wrong with the plastic valves in the housing (see other picture), so no matter what, it won't open enough to flow. Still, it's not too bad a value if it lasts two years. They should sell just the housing separately, or make the valves and cams out of metal, then it would be a better value.

Lasted one year until the valve broke under the sink. If I hadn't been home and saw it five minutes after it happened it, it would have flooded my house. The valve is cheap plastic, and the water connection attachment to it just separated. bad design/quality control. More Chinese garbage.

I'm on my 3rd set of replacement cartridges and extremely happy. The only drawback is that the slot for the disk battery failed the first 6 months because it is at a place where water gets in and corroded metallic innards of the battery housing. I don't know that the battery sensor calculates anything significant. As a single user, I replace the cartridges annually.

Bought this to replace an older GXSL55 version purchased in 2011 due to a leaky faucet. The new faucet is plastic and huge vs the old one being solid metal and less conspicuous. Old faucet was rock solid the new faucet body is wobbly and seems fragile. The body will probably break off the base before it leaks. The only good things are the water quality and ease of changing the filters.

As was highlighted in the review "Okay, but not the best design", the biggest problem with this unit is the spring valves. If you have a bad valve, it causes a horrible hammering sound as the valve vibrates when the faucet is on. After reading that review, I fiddled with the valve on the inlet side and got it freed up enough to where the hammering went away... for now.
In the end, I'll probably end up drilling that valve out. The hard part will be keeping the plastic shavings out of the housing so I hope my temporary fix lasts for a bit.
Other than that, the unit is great! No leaks, easily replaced filters and the water tastes clean.
