Answer:
"Warm white" will emit light that looks more like what you see from traditional incandescent bulbs. Some people perceive the light as a little yellow-white. "Cool white" lights will emit light that is higher in spectrum that will not have any "yellow" but actually appear a little "blue". A good example of "cool white" is the Xenon headlights you see on high end cars.

Hello missv, I’m Chris from the Home Depot’s how-to Community. Thank you for your question.

Hello missv, I’m Chris from the Home Depot’s how-to Community. Thank you for your question.
The difference lies in the color of the light given off by the bulbs.
Warm white refers to the yellow tinted color you are familiar with using old style regular screw-in light bulbs. These use a tungsten filament which favors the yellow side of the light spectrum.
Cool white is a harsher, more blue tint which is typical of the long fluorescent tubes that have been around for decades as well.
Modern light bulbs can often be bought in a variety of color choices, hence the new descriptions when in the past it was the type of light bulb that determined its color.
I hope this helps,
Chris.

Answer:
The LEDs are rated at 20,000 hours and are intended for seasonal use. Power cost per month will depend on a variety of factors, including the price of your electricity, hours operated per day, etc.

Answer:
I would contact an electrician, it sounds like your switch is passing a small amount of electricity through it even when it is turned off

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Lights! Saw these lights on amazon; Home Depot was almost half the price! Lights look great,, No worries if 1 bulb goes; all stay on. December 29, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love the amount of light it emits We are in the process of changing as many Xmas lights as we can to LED. Each year we have been replacing more and more and thanks to your trade in program we save a little money! February 4, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not too bad, but some issues So, start with the good, the strings are pretty sturdy, they worked well through a fairly snowy winter, stored well, worked after storage (I've had them for three years now) and I think that they are worth the price I paid if they hold out for another two years. Now the down side, you have to mail order replacement bulbs directly from GE. I think that Home Depot should stock them and find it a little short sighted that they don't. If Home Depot stocked replacement bulbs, this would definitely be a great value and the quality is just fine. The strings I bought had two bulbs that failed out of the package (I bought 12 strings for fence line and trees in the yard) and to have only two bulbs bad is okay with me. I broke one storing them. So I need three replacement bulbs but have to mail order them from GE which is kind of a lot of run around for light strings. All told, I'd probably look for something that had replacement bulbs handy nearby rather than buy these again. November 22, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Home Depot does not carry replacement bulbs! Brighter than some cheaper LED sets. Someone stole several bulbs from our strings and we had to order them. Why? December 8, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Color and Brightness I purchased multiple sets of these lights to highlight the roof line and edges of the house. They did an excellent job providing a warm white look. They were plenty bright, and the warm white color was consistent throughout. The price for the GE lights was excellent, as it was almost a dollar less than the Martha Stewart line of equal product. My only gripe was that some of the plastic bulb covers would come loose under normal movement of the lights. On a strand of 50 lights, atleast 2 to 3 would come off due to improper fitment in the socket. The actual LED remained in its slot, so the light output didn't change. It's just a hassle tracking down all the loose pieces to refit back on the lights. February 3, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works as they should They are Christmas lights that perform as you would expect Christmas lights to perform. They are indeed a warm light. February 3, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great lights I purchased 3000 of these lights last year and wrapped the trees in my front yard and columns on my front porch. They are much brighter than i expected and lite up my the porch a little more than I would like at Christmas time however, the quality of the light strand is very impressive and were perfect for wrapping the trees. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Fine, but look fake near regular lights These things in other sizes are durable, but the color is not quite right (doesn't look 2700k) and if your power is not that clean the light can seem to vibrate. May last 3 seasons and counting like the smaller ones. January 6, 2015
