The lights themselves are fine. The colors are VERY BRIGHT. My only complaint was that the "orange" was not orange when lit. It was bright yellow. I was looking for a modern-day replacement of the vintage bulbs, and instead of the red, orange, green, white and blue, it looked more like primary colors and a birthday party for a 4 year old. The blue is extremely iridescent when lit. So, not what I was looking for at all, but still lovely lights, if you don't mind the bright yellow and blue.

These lights are phenomenal. I have been very skeptical of the "new" LED lighting, but these really do the job and my tree looks incredible. Also love the fact that you can plug up to 78 strings into one outlet! Though I just have six strings on my tree, but to not have to separate to two circuits is amazing. Highly recommend.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Cms Safe product. Not at all like incanecsent lights we love so much.
The idea is great but these are no where near vintage looking or comparable to the look of incandescent bulbs. A white light inside the blue and red bulbs would help. A white bulb over the red and blue lights would be another solution. The colors now are cheap and garish looking. The lights are way too close together. They should skip a bulb In between. They were too expensive and it's too late to change this year. I think with some care this product could be made to replicate incandescent bulbs better. I do feel safer with them because they don't get hot and you can connect them in one continuous string. The only plus.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by m76 VERY AUTHENTIC LOOK but w/LED efficiency
I am having a vintage 1950's - 1960's looking Christmas tree this year, and wanted authentic C7 ceramic colored bulbs, but without the heat they generate, or power they consume. These lights are very authentic looking as compared to traditional incandescent C7 bulbs, yet do not get hot and use a mere fraction of the power; the string of 50 lights consumes about as much energy as just a few of the original incandescent bulbs. And as a bonus, the individual LED "bulbs" are replaceable if they should burn out... the colored C7-style cap unscrews to provide access to the LED's. I'll definitely be buying more of these light sets!

Bought 5 sets of these to bring back the nostalgia of when I was a boy. Sets worked great! Had them up for over a month and never had an issue. May buy more as my tree was rather small this year.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Jshdnh LED Christmas lights are terrible.....
The other reviewers are clearly biased in favor of LED bulbs.
Don't fool yourself. These bulbs are a poor subsitute for the look and feel of traditional incandescent bulbs. They are well made with quality material. However, the appearance is cold and clinical. The plastic bulbs are not comparable to old-school style glass.
I have no agenda. I wrote this review to save you trouble. I have a decorated 10ft tree with hundreds of ornaments on it, so i am stuck with the LEDS this year. Never again.
Not to mention-the bulb sets are not cheap, at 17.99 per box.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by hbquikcomjamesl So far, these appear to be among the best multicolor LED light strings yet.
LED Christmas light strings are still a developing technology. Early strings had an annoying flicker; until recently, white strings were only available in "lunar white," rather than "warm white," while colored strings tend to have painfully intense colors. And the earliest strings also had the LEDs permanently mounted, making it impossible to rearrange the colors as needed.
While far from a perfect simulation of the look of incandescent bulbs, this model (along with the model with "C9" bulb-covers, and the one with small spherical bulb covers) goes a long way towards correcting the faults of early LED strings. There is very little flicker, bulb covers significantly soften the light.
I agree with another reviewer's suggestion that fitting the string with warm-white LEDs under colored bulb-covers would be a significant improvement. But these, along with the sister products I mentioned, are already a tremendous improvement over all other LED Christmas lights I've seen, and come closer than anything else I've seen so far to approximating the look of incandescent Christmas lights.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by treeforall too close together; gaudy
Lights are half the distance apart as on a traditional string. Looks like a garland rather than individual lights. Christmas trees do not have branches where these strings have lights. Colors bright and gaudy. Would look good next to one of those lamps with a plastic woman's leg. Returning 3 strings.
