The dishes have to be set where they will drain and not hold water. Allow it to run until it shuts off and allow any trapped water to drain. The heat will dry the dishes.

Hello Bill,

If dishware is not drying properly, please check for the following conditions.
* Water entering the dishwasher should be between 120 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit for best wash and dry performance.
* Check the rinse aid dispenser and fill it if it is empty. Rinse aids prevent spots on glasses and promote drying by causing water to sheet off dishware and glassware. Rinse Aids, such as Jet-Dry®, can be purchased in your local grocery store.
* Use "Heated dry". This feature adds heat to promote drying.
* Use the available heat options on your dishwasher. Any that add heat will improve dry performance. This model offers the following.
-Wash TempBoost
-Sani (NSF Certified)
-Heated Dry
-Steam PreWash
* Do not overload dishes.
If the problem continues, then I would recommend to have the dishwasher evaluated and diagnosed under the warranty by a service technician. Please see the link below for scheduling service.

Rated 4.0 out of 5 by 427 reviewers.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by very loud, won't disolve detergent packs/capsules I got it 2 months ago, it is much louder than the one I had before. It won't dissolve the detergent capsules or gel packs. I have to use liquid dishwasher only. It never fully dries the dishes either. I am very disappointed. June 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Cleaning and Super Quiet Operation It's amazing how quiet this dishwasher is while doing an excellent job of cleaning our dishes, pots and pans and silverware. Also easy to load with common sense baskets and additional racks for special type glasses and utensils. The abundant modes of washing, rinsing and drying cycles make it easy to adjust this dishwasher to your needs. April 4, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great purchase Great dish washer for the price and would make the purchase all over again. Runs and cleans about the same as the GE we replaced which had most of the same features. This one is a little more energy efficient and runs so quite you have to check to see if it is running. Takes about two hours to run the normal cycle plus the drying time of about 45 minutes. November 25, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by My wife loves the features and general operation. We can't believe how clean the dishes are. Just the touch of the glasses is so vastly different. This GE dishwasher replaced a GE dishwasher that had lasted 25 years. February 10, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Why so little instructions with product? Used for first time tonight, and I am not thrilled: Took a very long time (almost 1 and a half hours) for cycle and coffee cups still had smudges! February 18, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Just OK. Having not had a new dishwasher in over 10 years, and this not being the least or most expensive, I thought it would be better than my old one. It is not. Sometimes the soap is still running down the door as though it never ran after a full cycle. My silverware is always still really wet even if it sits all day inside after a full cycle. January 27, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by I would give it a poor rating My dish washer leaves reside in the soap dispenser after the wash is finished. Dishes need to be scraped really clean before washing or they do not get clean. I do not like the silverware holders or their locations. Also the door is too low. The silverware holder often fall off the basket that they are attached too. January 27, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Too hard to operate Do not use too often. When I do do not like the gray interior since it is too difficult to see if something might have fallen in. Also, do not like the dials. It is much too difficult to figure out. When the machine finishes its cycles the lights do not go out. Then it's fun and games. When I think I'm turning it off it sounds like it is filling with water. I managed to turn it off the last time I used it but when I opened it up a few days later there was some water in it and it smelled and probably wasn't too sanitary. I had to run it empty as a precautionary measure. Not all is negative--it does do a good job washing the dishes. August 7, 2015
