Hello,
This is Michelle with GE and I am sorry to hear of this issue with your dishwasher. Please see the following troubleshooting suggestions for this drain issue:
1) Some water, usually one to two cups, remaining in the bottom of the tub is normal. However, if water is covering the bottom of the tub, the dishwasher is not draining properly.
2) Check for paper or large objects covering or blocking the sump area in the rear of the tub.
3) Make sure that the right type and amount of detergent is used: Using the wrong type or too much detergent can cause sudsing that can prevent the dishwasher from draining. Only detergent specifically designed for automatic dishwashers such as Electrasol, Cascade or Cascade Complete should be used.
4) Check disposer plug. If a garbage disposer has been recently installed, it is possible the disposer drain plug was not removed. The drain plug is a plastic piece in the disposer that blocks the hole where the dishwasher hose connects. In the Installation Instructions, will be the procedure for removal of the drain plug. You may also check with the installer.
5) Be sure the kitchen sink drain is not clogged. The dishwasher typically drains into the kitchen sink drain or a garbage disposer. If the dishwasher drains into a garbage disposer, run the disposer to clear the drain system. Do not put hands into the garbage disposer. Serious injury could result. You should always turn on your garbage disposer prior to running the dishwasher to clean out any food or debris within the drain system.
6) Check the drain hose where it connects below the sink for blockage or a kink in the hose. New dishwashers come with a white corrugated drain hose, which should be used. Re-using old, worn out drain hoses may promote kinking and blockage. If it is necessary to extend the length of the drain hose, the total length should not exceed 144" (12 ft). Be sure the extension used is not kinked or crushed. See your dishwasher installation instructions for details.
7) Check the air gap if one is installed. It could be clogged. An air gap (not part of the dishwasher) is usually located on top of the sink.
If the above suggestions do not resolve the issue, service may be needed. If you would like to schedule a service appointment, please contact GE Consumer Service at 1-800-432-2737.

Front Control Dishwasher in White is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 1776.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not heat dry and detergent does not dispense We're extremely frustrated with our dishwasher. The heat dry does not work and dishes are always wet when the cycle finishes, and the detergent dispenser does not work properly and we have to run multiple cycles which is not energy efficient.

Bought in July 2015, only had for 10 months when the washer failed to drain and flooded my wood floors. GE took a month to send someone to fix it. Finally got the computer board inside fixed. Now, only a few months after repair, the washer has done the same thing again! Flooded my newly repaired wood floors for the second time. On top of that, Thanksgiving is just 10 days away... No way can I wait for GE to take another month to fix it. I ordered another NEW dishwasher, not a GE; and i WANT MY MONEY BACK!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far so good; very quiet! I've had this for a week and so far it's worked well. It is SO QUIET! The dishes seem to get clean, and the detergent "container" is small so it doesn't use a ton of detergent. I still have water standing on top of my rubbermaid leftovers containers after the heat dry cycle, and that's annoying, but I'm not sure it can be helped since the bottom of the containers are ridged and not smooth (to allow the water to run off). I do notice the plastic smell the other reviewer noted but it's not bad and seems to be fading. I like the silverware container attached to the door. Saves space. I like how the bottom lines up with the cabinets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Needed a unit to fit a smaller (height) space... I needed a dishwasher, with a slightly less height than normal, as it was a replacement of an old hobart, and a 3/4" plywood floor had been installed. Not wanting to pull up the countertop, I need a dishwasher that would fit, most are taller, but this unit just made it. Some work to lower water supply and waste, but not bad. Much more quiet than former unit. Overall satisfied. Thanks...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from GDF510PGDWW Told salesman I wanted dishwasher that would get the dishes clean. He recommended this model because of its features, three sprayers vs two. Motor wore out in less than two years. I would expect better durability of parts for the cost of this model. Unit is noisier than expected. Over four hour cycle times.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Heated Dry does not work! With a new house came this new dishwasher. Could not make the heated dry option work so a technician came out to inspect. Says the heater is working and the water needs to be hot at the sink when it's started. That's done and it STILL does not dry the dishes.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from not happy not really happy with my dishwasher. first time I ran it, it took 3 hours plus to do a load. I thought for sure it was broke, but the repairman said that's the way the new ones are now. And on a short wash, the dishes didnt come out clean

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quiet and effective Quietest machine I have owned. Only problem is that the soap dispenser is in a location where silverware can prevent the latch from opening fully. Since we figured this out, easy to work around.
