Yes it will. It actually measures about 32+.......not quite 33" I just installed it in the same size opening as you have. We had 3/4" hardwood flooring put in, and our olf dishwasher would not fit back in the space. This one fits great (we also had 33" space).

I will add...We recently had hardwood floors put in. The installer was just going to install UP TO our old dishwasher. I asked, what happens when we get a new dishwasher down the line? Are we supposed to rip up flooring or remove counter tops to get it out?! What if it leaks? How will we know if the water can't run out? It will run under the new hardwood? So we removed our old dishwasher, had the installer put flooring under where it would be.
THEN we had to look for a dishwasher to fit the shorter space. THIS ONE DOES. We had tried another "hidden controls", but that vented under the top of the counter! So GE replaced it with this model. PERFECT! It vents out the front, which makes so much more sense. Washes GREAT, and is QUIET! It has less bells and whistles than the hidden controls type, but we didn't need all the extras anyway....it was confusing.. and we just want dishes to get clean. This dishwasher has PLENTY of washing action with a strong spray (but not too strong). I would recommend this washer to everyone.

MOST dishashers in the store displays will fit that. This one is about 1" shorter, and it fits best for after you have hardwood floors put in, and the regular ones won't fit back in.

Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 67 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Dishwasher is adequate Unfortunately we did not have enough clearance space to fit a normal-sized dishwasher to replace the one we had, so had to get an ADA-compliant one, which is slightly smaller. The dishwasher is quiet and does a good job of washing the dishes, however, its drying cycle takes an excessively long time. Also the arrangement of the tines in the dish racks is not convenient for washing bowls or other large or oddly-shaped items. We do like the stainless steel interior. We are somewhat concerned that the dishwasher may only last 7-10 years as the sales associate warned us. Our old one lasted over 20 years, so we are concerned about the apparent lack of durability of newer dishwashers. June 16, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice dishwasher This has only been in use for one week. So far, so good. It is quiet (at least compared to our previous dishwasher). It cleans and drys well. Most important, the ADA height worked for our lower than standard countertops. Cons -- the normal wash cycle seems a bit long (about 2 hours with heat dry) and I find it difficult to fill the top rack (it's almost like the top rack doesn't pull out far enough). The interior seems smaller than my last dishwasher, but that has not yet been a problem for us. July 5, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Defective The first dishwasher I purchased didn't work at the time it was installed. So a replacement was ordered. I used the replacement for a month and then it stopped working (same issue). June 10, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not very capable Only had for about 2 weeks. Loud and dishes no cleaner than with my old broken dishwasher. Would give zero stars if I could. Immediately removed and replaced with model GDT580SMFES. Much better model. Don't bother with GLDA 690FWW June 15, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great dishwasher I'm very happy now.this is a great machine; my wife is very happy . February 1, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great features Works great and very happy with it. Efficient and cleans well February 3, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Ok This machine washes extremely well, however I am very disappointed in with some other aspects. The top rack is very hard to fill as it does not seem to come out fully so it is hard to get stuff in every spot. Also have a problem with it not always drying completely and have to frequently put some items in dish rack to finish the drying process. January 7, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Please don't buy this dishwasher I bought it when Home Depot had a special going during the holidays, and it just doesn't clean dishes well at all. Even though the instructions say don't pre-wash your dishes, you have to if you want them to be clean. We've had three repairmen out, and they all say the water inside this dishwasher cannot stay hot enough because there's no heating element to keep the water hot, and if you don't have hot water, you don't get clean dishes. We even use the hot start feature to no avail. I sincerely wish we had selected another dishwasher. June 10, 2012
