Installed the system oh, way back in 2005. Have never had any problems with it other than a bit of irritation when removing and replacing cartridge - they go in tight and come out tighter! But they work very well. The 6-month indicator light is still on the original battery!!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by mrick36 Easy Install, Great water!
I just finished installing my new system. The only hard part was fitting myself into the under-sink space. I was worried about the sturdiness of the connections until I got the water turned back on. Not a single drip and the lines are firmly in their places. I'm very pleased with this unit. And I can get back to making my iced tea again!!!

Trouble free installation and working well.
Does a good job on city water. If you are dealing with non city problem water you should probably consider RO or multi cartridge system.
Several reviewers have complained about the push in connections for the tubing leaking or popping out. I suspect they did not install correctly. When installing these fittings, push the tube in about a 1/4" until it stops going easily. If you stop there it will leak or pop out. You have to grasp it firmly and push hard so it goes in another 1/2" or so. You will feel it bottom out solidly.
Also, install the mounting bracket screws as per instructions but leave them slightly loose to the bracket just hangs on the wall. This makes it easy to remove from the wall for installing tubes and servicing the filter.
Installing the filter into the bracket takes some hand strength so make sure it rotates enough to lock in.
If you have reasonable handyman skills it is very doable. If you are a raw novice hire some one or get help from a friend who has skills.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by grams49 was disappointed
I bought this to get rid of chlorine in my water, It still has the smell of chlorine after 1 week. I was very disappointed in this product, it looks great and easy to install. the TDS is still high and the smell of chlorine is still in the water. wish I never bought this. but better than nothing. it made a small difference in my tap water.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by JTBR Poor design
Like other reviewers I had to buy extra parts to make this work with a new faucet. But worse is the connection to the supply line. It comes apart easily, like when bumped. It even says in the directions that that if you over tighten the nut the connection will separate. So after a few attempts I got it to work with out leaking. But when I went to thing back under the sink and bumped the tube that connects to the filter it came apart and started spraying water everywhere. Needless to say this is going back to HD. I understand trying to make installation easy but it should not be done at the cost of good design. A water leak can result thousands of dollars of damage. I know, it's happened to us before.

I bought the first one and it leaked at the input press to fit connection of the filter housing. Recut the tubing several times to make sure it was smooth and even, but it still leaked. I measured and marked the ends of the tubing to make sure they were seated all the way into the fitting. Took it back and got another one. Installed it and it worked great. Was watching TV and heard a loud pop and the sound of running water. Looked under the sink and found the hose had blown off the cold water feed line. Flooded under the sink and ran out of the cabinet onto the floor. Was able shut off the water before anything got damaged but I hate to think about what would have happen if I was not home. I am pretty handy and have done may home repairs, including finishing additions, electrical work, and installing an irrigation system. I am guessing the problem is the water pressure, but I think this system should be able handle any standard home water pressure. I live in a regular subdivision. Just wanted to warn you to be careful if you buy this product.
