Hello, where can I buy the Filter cartridge GXRLQR from GE?

When I look on the internet it is difficult to find a place close to Bristow VA 20136 to have this item delivered home.

Try Home Depot. They carry GE filters and ship to home is an option when ordering from their web site.

In-line Water Filtration System for Refrigerators or Icemakers is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Compact and adequate This model generally works well. This is also known to eventually deteriorate the screw-type filter-fixture that needs to replace the filter (including the head). Other than that it works as designed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Failed after first filter change This filter has a "no shut-off replacement" feature which is nice...when it works. Unfortunately the "cam" that operates the internal push valve feature fails and the filter will not flow any water. Mine failed after the first filter change! On my filter you can see the problem by twisting the filter the last 1/4" and the water will flow, but it will not lock into place. It is a problem with the filter canopy not the filter cartridge, I tried another filter cartridge and still had the problem. An internet search confirmed that others have had the same problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best value, big waste I was looking for the exact replacement for the GXRLQR Filter cartridge (Store SKU # 197298). Home Depot sells it for $34.98 each! But you can buy this cartridge with the holder for "Drum roll please.....$15.74!" That's 1/2 the price of the replacement filter alone! The only other problem is that none of the stores around me sell it. And you know, there are a lot of stores around. So I have to order it on line and have it shipped to a store near me for free. Then go pick up a few days later.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good filter - Poor base. Filter worked fine, until I changed it the first time. Something in the base broke and would not allow water to flow..

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Serious deterioration in product quality!!! I owned the same filter for more than that 10 years and it worked fine under our kitchen sink. Recently, after moving to a new location, I decided to purchase another GE filter system despite the many negative reviews I have read, thus relying solely on my past experience. Bad decision! After careful and thorough water-tight installation (I am quite handy in plumbing & this installation is simple for me), I noticed that the filter turned ever so slightly from its original position, causing a misalignment with the filter base and resulting in a very small water leak (a drip every 1/2 hour). I then allowed the faucet to run for a while & rechecking all my connections, all dry like a bone. About an hour later, same result. I then removed this filter/base unit & returned it to Home Depot. I purchased an exact similar filter from another vendor. Same exact result!!! Whether the fault is in the design or manufacturing, this is a faulty & unreliable product. I am waiting for my Culligan filter system & keeping my fingers checked (filer is 1/2 the price of the GE & lasts longer).
