When turn timer off, will it turn on at dusk the next day?

This question is from Indoor/Outdoor 2-Device Plug-In Timer

If I have the GE Indoor/Outdoor 2-Device Timer and set it to the Dusk/Dawn setting -
if I use the remote to turn the lights off at night (such as holiday lights) say, at 10PM at night, will the timer "reset" and turn the lights on again at dusk the next day, or do I need to use the remote to turn on the lights the next day?

Answer:
The remote is just an override for when you want it on/off outside of the time period you have set on the timer. If you turn it off prematurely it will still come on the next day as scheduled.

Hi there and thank you for your question.
You do not need to use a remote to turn the lights on the next day.

There are two, three-hole outlets in the bottom of the unit allowing you to plug in 2 electrical cords. The remote and/or the timer settings will control both.

does the receiver need 110 AC power, or is it a battery?

This question is from Indoor/Outdoor 2-Device Plug-In Timer

I want to use this for battery operated LED lights high on a wall, so I want to rig the unit to turn a low voltage wire on and off. Yes, I could run extension cords, etc. but I am trying to avoid that and go with battery LED's. Once the thing is up, it will be hard to get up to to turn on and off, so that's the idea. Thanks!

Jeff,
You will require a different timer one with contacts such as normally open or closed contacts to engage the battery voltage to your circuit.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Timer I read the reviews on this both highs and the lows and was pleased with the purchase it works great. October 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works as advertised with easy installation Worked fine right out of the wrapper, used to make my patio lighting turn on at dusk and stay lit for 8 hours then turn off. Took 1 minute to figure out setting it and another 30 seconds to install. The on/off switch is nice for manually turning the lights on and off. October 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by High-quality remote control. The unit meets my expectations. I have two of them. September 13, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Would like more timer options I'm quite pleased with this item and I love the remote control, but I didn't research it properly before purchase I guess. The only option to turn it on automatically is an 'at dusk' option. Dusk comes so early in Winter and I don't want my lights coming on until later. I want it to come on at 5 PM which means I have to manually turn it on and I often forget, which results in half my Christmas lights being on (using a different timer) and half of them being off. Before Christmas next year, I'll probably buy a timer which allows actual times to be set. If you're not as fussy about timings as I am though, this is a handy little device for the price. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed The remote lasted one day. I wanted to replace the battery but the screw head was something I have never seen before and I have just about seen them all May 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by doing a good job easy easy easy - and weather-proof - so far - only used 1 month, but no problems - works as advertised May 3, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Indoor/Outdoor 2-Device Plug-In Timer Great product. easy to install and the remote is truly great. December 22, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Just what my garage shop................ Was looking for remote controlled outlet for my 2hp dust collector that runs on a 20 amp circuit. Well this does the trick at a price point that can't be matched. (Trust me I've been looking.) Dust collector calls for 20 amp circuit but the amount of draw on start-up is 14 amps. Great not having to run back and for to turn the DC on an off. Yeah! The rating for this unit is 15 amps. I do not use the timer. December 15, 2015
