Right out of the package this light only worked with the on/off switch. Motion feature does not work unless the cover is off, what is the point of that? Cheaply made, cover is hard to line up, to the back. When the cover is in place and the sensor is properly lined up it still does not work. Magnet is not strong enough to hold the unit in place, it just slowly slides down whatever you attach it to. Went into Home Depot to purchase a Mr Beams motion light. They did not have it and the sales person steered me to this poor substitute. I sure wish this had worked as the light was nice and bright. Buyer beware.

I really wanted these lights to work out as a solution: to light two small cabinets in our kitchen that are hard to access and difficult to see contents. When I first purchased two of these lights I thought they were great. LED lights are nice and bright and light up the whole area so that we could easily find things. I also liked the idea that the lights would shut off on their own if left on, thus saving the batteries. What I wasn't expecting was having to replace batteries all of the time, regardless of whether or not the lights are left on. It appears that the motion detector is a constant drain on the batteries, Within a a few weeks the light intensity is too dim to see anything and shortly after that the lights will not turn on at all. These lights take three AA batteries and unless you want to be constantly replacing them, I would look for something else. Also, product is made in China (So, what else is new?) and cheaply made.

I stumbled upon this puck while shopping for supplies for Hurricane Sandy. Purchased the last two. They were a life saver. I used them under the kitchen cabinets so I was able to see while I was cooking. Much safer than candles. What is great about them is that with a wave of your hand you can lower the intensity of the light to a lower setting or wave your hand again and they shut off. I would highly recommend them.

I purchased 4 of these lights to highlight certain sections of a large closet, The motion activated sensor stopped working after just 5-6 uses . So now I have to use the on/off switch every time. It does, however, offer good light brightness.
