While it is possible to use another tool besides a hammer to secure these clips, we recommend only using a hammer so you don’t accidentally break the plastic clip. I found this youtube video that shows a person using the exact type of nail gun you are speaking of. It sounds like this was made in Germany but I am not sure.
This could be a patent pending item or something you may be able to develop from a regular nail gun.
