Customer Questions & Answers

If you're in the US of A and you have a digital TV (ATSC) tuner and live within the range of the transmitting towers, the answer is a definite YES.

Where is the " color code " located on my antenna, which we give me better reception in specific area?

GE Antenna 24731-V2
Asked by: KJ1067
The color code system is used more for outdoor antenna's. I haven't seen any indoor antennas which use this system.

Is this a 300 ohm or 75 ohm antenna? What type of connector does it have?

I have an old stereo receiver that needs a 75 ohm FM antenna with 2 wires to connect to the back of the receiver. See the attached picture. I want to know if this antenna will work with my receiver.
Asked by: LarryK
Dear LarryK - This antenna is a 75ohm antenna with a coax F connecter. To install, simply connect a coax cable from the antenna directly to the antenna input on your HDTV, or by connecting a coax cable from antenna directly to the set top box antenna input, then connecting another coax cable (not included) from set top box output directly to the antenna input on your TV. Customer Reviews

Omni TV Indoor Antenna is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Getting excellent results Had no antenna for OTA HD after moving recently and decided to try the least expensive route albeit with low expectations. What a pleasant surprise as I'm getting all of the major stations with a strong signal. The antenna is not much to look at and the build quality is clearly at the minimum level but after all it just sits there, it's passive and probably wont break without human intervention. I should note that I'm within 7 miles of all of these major stations but even on the weakest station my TV reports over 80% signal strength. I'm also using a late model (2012) set and it's possible that the quality of its ATSC tuner has something to do with the stellar results. Antenna's are the way to go for HDTV without a monthly fee, and this inexpensive one may work for you if you're in an urban area reasonably close to the broadcast towers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I just purchased this antenna and love it! Out of all the antennas that I own... I have to say, this is the best one! This model works better than my RCA amplied flatbed & my Magnavox rabbit ears. The GE 24731 is tiny & compact, but very powerful. Now I can catch every local station without any trouble!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fit the bill. BUT The GE 24731 I received has three-segments-dipoles (15.25") instead of the one with four segments like in the picture. The home depot site does not mention the lengh of the dipole BUT the picture is definitely NOT a correct/true representation of the product. Still, I'd recommend this product because it fits the bill BUT wonder if this is a kind of 'False Advertising'.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works like a champ Bought this recently in store for a 13 year old TV. It's connected to a digital converter too. Works great!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing This antenna was an inexpensive experiment. I recently pulled the plug on DirecTV, but I wanted to get the local channels for news and PBS. I was told that an indoor antenna would answer my needs. This antenna picked up the two stations broadcasting from my town (CBS and NBC), and it picked up PBS, but it did not pick up ABC, located about 60 miles away. Of course, I also got a variety of over-the-air channels about which I didn't care. The quality of the local stations was pretty good, but the picture broke up frequently. As I said previously, this antenna was an inexpensive experiment--it cost me $11. I purchased a different indoor antenna from Amazon for $47.99 and it brings in everything I want to watch. The ordering and receiving experience from Home Depot was first rate.
