45 seconds to leave and 30 seconds to enter seem to be a lifetime. It should take less than 30 seconds to enter a 4 digit code. Any chance that delay can be set to 15-20 seconds?

Hi Mr Prergo1,
Each unit within the GE 45117 is an individual alarm. The Window Door Alarms do not connect to each other or the Keypad Alarm in the package. If you are looking for a more centralized alarm system to arm and disarm sensors similar to a monitored system, then it would be necessary to purchase a product like the GE 45142 Choice Alert Control Center Starter Kit. The kit comes with 1 window door sensor and you can add up to 11 more of the GE 45131 for a total of 12 window door sensors that will set off the control centers 120db alarm. The Control Center also has an additional zone allowing 4 more sensors to use just as an alert should you need it bringing the total amount of sensors that can be added to 16 total. You can find both these products here on Homedepot.com using the following information:
GE 45142 (Model # 45142 Internet # 100685865)
GE 15131 (Model # 45131 Internet # 100685867)”

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.7 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good device for what it does, needs a cage to prevent easy removal by intruder. Easy to install and program, using to alert me of shed intrusion and night intruders, Mr Smith and Mr Wesson will take care of security after alert. March 22, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by competent item no frills. needs on/off indicator. functions as advertised. could use a volume control December 29, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Typical Cheap Product You get what you paid for. Installed this unit on the door and tested the slide switch from "away" to 'home" and the slider switch internal mechanism broke on the 2nd try. The switch felt like it was catching during the slide movement from away to home and on the second attempt it broke. January 11, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Value Easy to install and works well. Only problem was the unit's chime is extremely loud. This is great if you are alone, upstairs, or asleep. Might not be a problem at all design wise. However, when entering or leaving your place it is pretty obnoxious. Of course, you can use the alarm function and this gives you a delay so your head isn't right next to the alarm when it goes off. Just thought I would give that info since it took us by surprise. January 3, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exactly what I needed I was worried that the alarm would not be loud enough. Silly me! When it goes off, I run around like a chicken with my head cut off. I installed the alarm on my tree house to discourage vandals. It was simple to install and works perfectly. January 7, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good device, easy to install Works well and installed easily. The only drawback I have is that you are limited to the four digits 1 through 4 when setting up your code. I'm trying to find out if there is a way to alter this; otherwise, a very good investment. May 28, 2013
