Hello snake, I’m Newf from the Home Depot’s how-to Community. Thank you for your question.
These sockets simply clip into the metal housing. Remove the old wire and socket. Attach the old wire to the new socket and snap it into place.

I'm with Confused in January 2015. Where do I attach the wire in the spring-loaded end? There are 2 holes and one slot.

I do not know where to put the wire...there are two holes and also a slot with copper hole in it. Which spot does the wire go into?
