Hi glenn- This is Sue at GE Appliances. Not all appliances require an energy label, including microwaves. The unit requires a 120 volt individual, properly grounded branch circuit with a 3 prong grounding type receptacle, protected by a 15 or 20 amp circuit breaker or time-delay fuse. Electric Input: 1,650 Watts; 13.9 Amperage. Thanks for checking with us. Enjoy!

Hi ace-this is Sue from GE Appliances. We certainly appreciate your loyalty! While these models are not the same, the dimensions are similar (JE1860WH04- 23 7/8W x 13 1/2H x 18 13/16D). PEB7226DFWW is the most comparable replacement model. If the microwave will be installed in a 27" or 30" wide cabinet, you will also need to purchase an optional Built-In Trim Kit: 27"-JX7227DFWW; 30"-JX7230DFWW. Thanks Read More

Specs says door swing is Left to Right. That is backward from EVERY microwave I've seen. One of the pictures appears that the door opens Right to Left. What is it?

Answer:
Hello - this is Nancy at GE and I am happy to help you. All GE, Hotpoint, and Monogram microwaves are hinged on the left side. This means the door will open at the right and swing to the left. Most models have a 100 degree door swing. Microwave doors are not reversible. I hope this helps! Thanks for checking with us!

Hello - this is Nancy at GE and I am happy to help you. We are glad to see that you were able to received many years of use from this built-in microwave. The current cabinet cutout dimensions that you currently have are (assuming your microwave was installed per the specifications): 24-1/8" W (+/- 1/8") x 17-9/16" H (+/- 1/16") x 19" to 21" D. We no longer offer a microwave with trim kit with these cutouts. You could go with Microwave PEB9159SFSS which uses a trim kit that requires a cutout of 18-34" H x 24" W or with Microwave PEB7226SFSS which uses a trim kit that requires a cutout of 16-3/4" H x 25-1/2" W. Another alternative may be our Advantium PSB9100SFSS which is an oven with microwave functions. Once you use an Advantium, you will never want to use a regular microwave again. The Advantium does not require a separate trim kit and requires a cutout of 17-1/2" H x 25-1/4" W x 23-1/2" D. I hope this information is helpful! Thanks for checking with us! Read Less

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Choice (so far) Best choice for me, appearance, size, function and cost. Built-in appearance is easy and a real value with Trim Kit JX7230DFWW for white oven and 30 inch opening. Only negative I have is odd placement of function buttons. August 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Microwave Very quick delivery.... Fits opening where old built-in unit used to be... the delivery guys were polite and helpful and friendly... and the microwave works well. April 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Quality I really could not know about the energy efficiency, etc., but I am happy with this microwave. January 12, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Replacement Don't think it's as good as our original GE Profile- not as quiet and you have to slam the door to close it. Disappointed October 27, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by GE counter top microwave I used this as a built in unit above the over. First one lasted 14 months and arced (burned a small hole) thru into cooking chamber. HD replaced with exact same model. A good unit, but I reserve judgment on how long it will last. First one started arcing whenever the flat popcorn bags were used. I learned that it wouldn't arc if I put the bag on top of an inverted paper plate or small bowl. With other foods I had to put a cup of water in there with whatever was in it to keep it from arcing. New/replacement one, works great but we will see. July 7, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Looks and feels cheap - is plastic and NOT metal I'm disappointed with this new GE suite of appliances. At first, I was excited to have the matte color, but I didn't realize it would be PLASTIC. It feels cheaply made. Even the button to open/close the door feels like junk. It is not a pleasure to use. I miss my old GE microwave. Also, the trim kit is ridiculously expensive and has the slightest bow at the top. So, if you're replacing a built-in, even if you ALREADY have a trim kit, prepare for your cabinet doors to be moved or a carpenter to drill more holes in your cabinets. Just because of that little "designer accent." Hey, GE, can I exchange my purchase for stainless steel?? July 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Microwave Oven When our old (20 years) built-in GE Profile microwave finally gave out, we needed to find a microwave that looked good with our existing built-in appliances, and filled the space of the old one. This GE Profile not only looks good, but it is significantly more powerful than the older microwave. Since we opted to not replace with a 'convection' microwave (as was the original), it has much more interior room as well. Almost to the point of appearing 'cavernous'. All we generally use it for is 'reheating', and this one is excellent in that role. Controls are easy to use, and have enough, but not too many choices. I would buy again, and recommend to friends. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Large capacity & quiet! We bought this microwave to replace a 26 year old GE that I personally installed in our new house as a "built in" unit back in 1990. Options for a suitable built-in unit were limited, but a build-in kit was available for this model, and it turned out that it would be a perfect visual match for a GE Profile electric oven that I bought and installed just a few years ago over which it would be located. After having it in use now for almost a week, both my wife and I are very pleased with it. It looks great, runs quietly, cooks efficiently, can be cleaned easily, and has a wealth of advanced automated features that add user capability yet don't preclude a person from using this oven to simply heat up food to eat!
