Our opening height is 68", which was the dimension listed for the refridgerator, but with the wheels it was 1/4" too high. We are still looking for a refridgerator.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Bjgmom Keeps Food with poor design
I have had this refrigerator for over a year and it works adequtely. It keeps the food in the frig cold and in the freezer frozen. The ice tray has been replaced because of a loud sound when dispensing ice. The repair person said the tray should be removed and cleaned monthly. I previously had a side by side and never had to do this.procedure. This is a practice that makes me question the design. Another problem with design is the top shelf in the freezer that drops regularly. It does not seem to be wide enough.

The refridgerator works as it should for the price. The only thing that bothers me is the top tray in the freezer side falling down due to it's small size. Not sure if I'm missing a pieace or the refridgerator is design that way. Had the fridge for a 1yr now with no problems. Bought it for counter depth feature and we appreciate the fact that the refridgerator doesn't stick out as much from our kitchen counter. Overall, a good refridgerator.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Julia Looks nice, does not work for a family
GE Profile appliances graced the new home we purchased. In the first month, the ice maker broke. It tilts so the ice has to travel UP to dispense. The ice tray is huge and bulky and takes up lots of freezer space. The layout of the freezer leaves a lot to be desired - there isn't any room for ANYTHING! The refrigerator side is awkward, also. The soda rack? Seriously? I can't even move it out of the way to put tall items in the bin under neath. And even if I moved the lower bin lower, there would be no room for any bottles or containers of any kind in any of the bins. Bad design on the inside of the door. And, don't get me started on the design of the inside of the fridge! The bottom basket does not come out. How am I supposed to clean it? The drawers are shallow (I guess 'cause it is counter depth) but it is frustrating nonetheless. For the price of the item, it should be the best ever and, well, it's not. We purchased an inexpensive off-brand s/s fridge and it was much better than this one. This GE Profile fridge: Not recommendable.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Johny Very Poor
Product is made poorly. Lights are very big that takes room away from storage. Icemaker is tilted backward such that ice need to travel uphill when dispensing. Shelves in freezer are tiny and unstable. Quality of outside material is such that it is rusting with 15 months of new purchase.

I have had my fridge for 28 years, way past the life of a refrigerator, and it still keeps the frozen foods frozen and the refrigerated foods cool. Advanced for the time we bought it, is still has great features.

Looked at many makes and models to fit my needs and the size of the opening for the refrigerator. Had to remove cabinets above opening to allow refrigerator to fit. Very well designed and ampule room for everything. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Verified Reviewer Three years old and failed twice
The refrigerator was purchased new. The only thing positive I can say is that is decent looking. Ice machine had to be replaced. Mother board and defroster failed twice with in 2 months and only 3 years old, losing all the food. Save your money and avoid this one.
