The size of this refrigerator is awesome, but the quality is the worst! I needed a large refrigerator to store 4 to 6 gallons of milk each week..(5 kids)..Door could not handle one gallon and all the other regular items stored in the door. It began to sag and was "fixed" twice. It still hung improperly and allowed cold air to seep out. The freezer always froze over and built up a bunch of ice. The ice cubes always fell from the tray and were all over the freezer. This was a terrible purchase and I will never buy GE again. It now died after only 5 years. It's not even worth getting repaired! They just don't make refrigerators like they use to.

Bought this unit once in 2005 and then in 2008 for a different house.
More space than side by side, good energy star rating, weird finish...but I wanted lots of space for veggies and fruit... and not so much freezer space.
At the time this was the only unit that met these specs.
The design problem is that the unit cycles up to 10 degrees higher when it does its defrost thing.
This spoils ice cream's creamy quality, pie dough gets crystals on it, pizzas have lots of frost on the top and the box deteriorates...Yak.
I called; GE changed the thermostat, but nothing changed.
Could find no other fridge with this space arrangement.
Oct 15th it stopped working and we spent over $400.00 having it fixed...easier than shopping for a new one.
Dec. 29th, came home from Tahoe, to find fridge not working and an incredible stench.
Called GE and they offered a new fridge with a $400.00
discount. There is a saying about "fool me once...".
After I threw everything out it started working again...intermittently.
GE felt that I should be thrilled.
On New Year's EVE:
I found the same style interior that I like so much...but even better from another company at about $500.00 less!
Delivered by them on Jan. 2nd.
There are more things out there...keep looking.
...there is better than GE!!! and lots cheaper too!!!

We have owned a GE Profile for 10 years, but after re-modeling wanted new appliances. Our previous frig of this same model top freezer has so much space that we decided to get the same model again. It is the biggest one we could find, and always having been so pleased with GE Profile, the decision was easy. The stainless is beautiful, and we are so pleased with the purchase. As always, the delivery people at Home Depot were so helpful and courteous.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Worried Best interior set up on the market today, would not buy another fridge as far as the practicality goes.
Have owned this refrigerator for one month and found that all the food in our freezer was defrosted and had to be thrown out. GE repairman came out right away and replaced our computer board as there was not an immediate or absolute reason that he could find that this occurred. He was fantastic, knowledgeable and knew the products well. GE also is sending us a check for food replacement costs, which is awesome on their part. This refrigerator is set up beautifully inside, the best on the market that I have seen and have compared to all other brands. I am hoping this was a one time glitch and that we will have a wonderful appliance for years to come. GE definitely is backing up their product so far.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by USLimey Nice function, awkward design
The available space for a replacement refrigerator for an older GE model presented only this one, and at that, one inch had to be cut from the upper cabinet to accommodate it. Disappointing that neither a french door model or one with a lower freezer drawer would fit... Still, it functions well, even though one has to bend down to retrieve items in the lower section. Hope it lasts as long as its predecessor (~20 years)!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Khan very spacious
After a long wait I got my refrigerator. I ordered it in June and at last Home Depot finally delivered it to my home in the first week of September; don’t know why it took so long, they were keep changing delivery date. I waited for so only because nowadays there is very limited choices in large Top Freezers refrigerators, most of them come in less than 20 CU.FT. When the door is open, the inside appears so large that it makes me feel I've stepped inside it. I thing the lights should be placed little inside because if you are not careful while pulling thing out from top rack you might hit the lights and you can break the cover of the light. I am in love with this fridge! It is bright, has lots of room, and the freezer is very spacious!!The thing which I don’t understands in it the water dispenser which is inside at the left side of the fridge, I don’t know what s the use of having disperser inside the fridge, they should not have that feature at all in these kinds of Models.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by KayLR Great refrigerator/freezer!
We bought this GE refrigerator/freezer at Home Depot last year when our old freezer died. I wanted a larger freezer, and the GE Profile had all I wanted. When the men delivered it, they didn't balance it. The freezer kept opening when I closed the refrigerator door. I had to call GE to get a guy over here to balance it. No charge. No problem getting the help from GE at all.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by VAJohn Good, but at a cost
Good, but the freezer shelves are somewhat cheap, since the wire shelf flex in the middle. Also, this is the largest top freezer product on the market, but the product is overpriced for the few extra cubic feet.
