We've switched to baking cookies in a toaster oven because they come out better than when we use our GE Profile double ovens. Crazy!
When pre-heating, the display shows that the temperature has been reached, but the oven is still up to 100 degrees lower. After it finally does reach the requested temp, it fluctuates 50 degrees over or under during cooking. Certainly not ideal for baking.
We've had GE technicians out twice to look at the ovens and were told that this is just the way that this style of oven works.
I wish we could afford to get an oven that actually works properly.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by noisyoven This range is noisy
I recently purchased this wall oven to replace my old white GE oven. I am disappointed because there are 3 cooling fans (in addition to the convection fan) that keep running constantly, even in the warm mode. After you completely shut off the oven the cooling fans still run for another half an hour. It is noisy and my old oven had no such cooling fans so I don't understand this new design. Further the cooling fans make my whole kitchen smell of the food being cooked. Apparently, these fans are not just a feature of the convection oven but rather a new design to cool all electric wall ovens. I could not test this nor is this listed in the manual. I miss my old oven that had no noisy fans and worked perfectly fine.

This double oven replaced a lower model double oven GE that was in the house we purchased. We needed to purchase GE based on the wall dimensions. We chose GE Monogram series based on reputation and the appearance. However, in the 7 years we have had this double oven, we have had to replace the heating coils 2x! neither time was the repair covered by GE - Both times we were told to purchase the extended warranty! This does not seem like a reasonable life expectancy for such an expensive oven. When working the oven performs well.

Replaced a 20 year old 24" single oven/microwave combo, so the new double oven was a huge leap forward. Heats up a little slowly, but then maintains steady, even temp throughout. So well insulated that, unlike our old oven, you don't feel the heat outside, and it stays warm inside for hours after. Really like the warming and timed cooking options. Thought we might want 30" size, but would have had to buy new cabinet, too, so went with 27". Glad we did as it has all the space we need.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by RSTRITT Great oven
Recently bought this as a replacement to my original Profile oven which worked fine after 16 years, but the convection parts were blown out due to a lightning strike! The inside is much larger than my old oven and there have been some added features, such as the warming option. My only complaint is that it doesnt' seem to be baking as evenly as my old oven did. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SG47 Expensive, but a great oven!
I have slowly been converting to stainless appliances over the past 4 years, and I've had my eye on this particular double wall oven since day one. I love the look, and I value GE's quality. Must say I'm excited to now own this oven. Only minor disappointment so far is that it doesn't heat up quite as fast as my old GE oven. But this thing is sharp! Easy to install and operate. Great features including the temperature probe that is included in the upper oven. I especially like the heavy duty rack that is mounted on a set of slides. Allows you to pull the rack out about twice as far as the standard racks. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Hoog Just what we wanted
We searched for a long time before selecting this oven. We compared with other top of the line models from manufacturers such as Bosch, but in the end, came back to GE Profile. My son and I did the installation, and it was straightforward and easy following the directions provided. We couldn't be happier. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
