Hi Miiubaly,
I am happy to help. Your oven does not have a pilot light that can be lit. On new gas range installations, make sure the range’s main gas regulator on the range is set in the ON position. They are all shipped with the regulator in the ON position but, if jarred or bumped during installation, it can spring back to the OFF position. (This on/off lever on the regulator may not be apparent to most consumers. There is a picture of it in the Use and Care for all XL44's in the LP conversion section. Otherwise, service may have to reset the lever. Burners will still work with the valve off, but the oven will not) . If no red glow is observed, there may be a malfunction with the Glo-Bar, the on/off control, or other electrical components. You will likely need service. If you would like to schedule a service appointment, please contact GE Appliance Service at 1-800-432-2737. We appreciate you checking with us.

Hello kit - this is Nancy at GE Appliances and I am happy to help you. This top-of-the-line Profile convection gas range does include an LP Conversion Kit. We recommend that any installation or conversion of a gas appliance be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified installer. I hope this helps! Thanks for checking with us!

Just wondering if the stainless steel top is replaceable when it gets too destroyed by frequent spills and cleanings?
Also
Is it easy to clean and maintain? We are messy cooks.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 108 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by One month, and still like it All features as described in specifications, and easy to use. High quality appearance, really upgrades the kitchen. After one month of use, burners are easy to use and control. No problems turning the 18,000 BTU burners to low/simmer. Have not used the center burner yet. Oven temperature is precise, roasts and baked good turned out fine. Still using "conventional", haven't tried "convection". Oven wipes clean very easily. Three oven racks a real plus. We shied away from LG (would have matched our fridge) because of reports of melted burner control knobs, and excessive heat vented from the oven, directly onto the control panel. This GE does not suffer from those problems. Knobs are plastic, but there are no vent slots directly under the knobs. A curved shield prevents hot air venting from the oven at the rear of the top/burner section from impacting the control panel. Minor negatives - the lower storage door is more soundly built than the lower priced models, but the slide track on one side seems a bit loose, allowing the drawer to sag about 1/4". the top surface enamel finish, around the burners is difficult to keep streak free. Getting a few drips of grease or oil off is very difficult. I've even tried using a premium auto polish on the enamel, and still streaky until wiped repeatedly with ammonia free Windex and very clean towel. As noted by others, includes only the very heavy, reversible griddle center section. We ordered and received the alternate center grate (WB31X24737). That really should have been included, along with the griddle. From GE it is $60 with tax and shipping. Downloaded the online operating instructions, and they are very generic, covering features used in multiple models, so you have to sort through the instructions and cross out things that don't apply to this specific model. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor quality control First one the convection fan didn't work on the bake cycle but did on the roast cycle so likely an issue with the control board, replacement has a crooked drawer face...drawer and unit are level, the face to the drawer is literally fixed on the drawer crooked. How does that get out of the factory without anyone noticing? Returning and going with a different brand. January 4, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Buyer Beware I can't give this 5 stars because of Home Depot, not the unit itself. If you pay for install and purchase the kit like I did, know that they won't hook it up if you have a smaller gas valve connection as I did! No where did it say in the specifications that your valve may be a different size. I had to call the gas company and pay an additional $240 for a bigger valve in order to connect the gas line. It was either that or go without a stove. As usual Home Depot delivery services suck and the installer was very nasty about it! Will never purchase anything that has to be delivered from Home Depot again! July 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Best oven I've ever owned. Has all the bells and whistles. August 9, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Love it and hate it. I was under the impression that at his price point, I couldn't really go wrong with any model chose, but we continue to be disappointed by he "convection oven" feature of this oven. I was drawn to this model because of the cook top surface, which I am very impressed with! The stainless cleans up so very nice n easy. The REAL cast iron griddle is BADASS! Then there is the oven, which my wife has attempted to bake several times now. Cookies and cupcakes have turned out all over the place. Inconsistent each time we've baked something. Some baked goods were well done, others doughy. Not just between racks either, cupcakes within the same 6 cupcake tray came out very different. Our previous oven, that was OLD, hand me down, cheapest model whirlpool, baked better than this convection oven. Been very busy, need to return this before we get stuck with it. Home depot service rated a 10 though. Ordered online, setup time, they called before they came, on time, brought it inside, gone in no time. July 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Range I did a lot of research before deciding on this model, it is sturdy, easy to use and eye appealing. June 28, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Happy with a few glitches Stove is nice, however the leveling feet are plastic as well as the thread and are odd shaped which are rough on the hands. Very Very hard to turn. Also for the price we paid you would think that the people who assemble would do so correctly. The drawer was no correctly placed on the tracks that make it slide in and out. When I tried to correct it I could not get the drawer out . I had to force it out which made the drawer bend. Of course I did not realize this till after I thought I inspected thoroughly upon delivery. So I had already agreed that the product was in perfect condition, which it was not. We were able to get the drawer back in and the bend out but still upsetting considering the prices of appliances these day..REALLY PLASTIC? July 21, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great features I purchased this range because I could not afford the slide in which is actually want I wanted. Having the confection to this range is a plus. August 15, 2016
