Customer Questions & Answers

I need to troubleshoot why the ovens won't work. Does anyone know where I can get info?

Asked by: Chip
Hi Chip- This is Sue at GE Appliances. We are sorry to hear your double wall oven is not working and suggest to view the Troubleshooting Tips provided in the Owner's Manual at the following link: - If the oven has no power and a blank display, check the circuit breakers. Reset the electronics by turning off power at the circuit breaker for 30 seconds or so. If the house has fuses instead of circuit breakers, check the fuse making sure it is not blown. If the controls are locked, press the 9 and 0 pads simultaneously for 3 seconds to unlock. If you need further assistance, we encourage you to contact GE Appliance Service at 1-800-432-2737 or conveniently schedule an appointment online at We hope this is helpful. Keep in touch!

How would your installers handle this issue: the height dimension of this product is 1and 3/8ths" greater than my current built in oven set.

This GE Built-in oven set is 1 and 3/8ths" taller than my current set of ovens that I want to replace. How would your installers deal with this issue? Would they use electric saws to widen the opening in the cabinetry? Also, my current ovens extend 25 1/4 " from the wall (cabinet is 24" deep and unit extends forward another 1 1/4 "). This unit I want to buy from you is 23 1/2" deep. Will there be enough room for electrical plugs?

Thanks for asking! Unfortunately, basic hook up service does not include hook up or removal of built in cooktops, wall ovens, drop ins and air conditioners. The installation must comply with local codes, or in the absence of local codes, with the National Fuel Gas Code and the National Electric Code. For any questions, please contact our Appliance Support Hotline at 1-800-455-3869.

Can wall ovens be installed side-by-side instead?

Asked by: Anonymous
Hi, This is Donna with GE and I am happy to help you with your question on the GE wall ovens. Yes, you can install two single oven wall ovens in a Side by Side installation. Install the two wall ovens in separate cutouts. and allow 2″ (5.1 cm) min. between cutouts. Should you have additional questions, please let us know.

Customer Reviews

30 in. Double Electric Wall Oven Self-Cleaning with Convection in Stainless Steel is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 35.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE THIS OVEN!!! We love this double wall oven! Our new ovens arrived last month and from the very start, our baked items have turned out wonderfully. My husband could not wait to try the convection feature and roasted a chicken within the 1st week of installation. That turned out so well that he roasted a turkey the 2nd week. The skin was wonderfully crisp and the meat was so juicy that it fell off the bone. We love the automatic meat thermometer which keeps our meats from being over or under cooked. These ovens also cook very evenly. My rolls and cookies have new great height. It is also very convenient to have the warming feature to keep foods warm until we’re ready to serve them. In addition, it is great having a double wall oven (we remodeled from single wall oven). With the availability of a 2nd oven, no one disturbs my cheese cakes anymore. These ovens are huge and allow us to cook several things at once. Their size, however, does not over power the room. Their sleek appearance matches our décor very well. After cooking there is cleaning: The hidden bake element makes for easy cleaning, as does the glass touch control features. We highly recommend this oven.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The new oven pleased my wife very much. We got a great deal on the oven over the internet and had the local store install the unit. The installers were very courtesy and did a very good job. The new oven does everything that the ad said it would. With the digital touch screen control panel the oven is very easy to set up and to use. The first thing we cooked was a tri tip roast, we used the temp probe and the roast came out perfect.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed We bought our house in 2011 and the kitchen had been remodeled with GE. Profile appliances in 2008. Neither over has a functioning well clean and the appliance repairman said the GE Profiles are notorious for bad circuit cowards and the cost would be over $500.00 to replace it with installation so I live with two welf cleaning ovens that don't self clean. When these start having other issues I am never getting another GE product..ever.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy! Just purchased all GE appliances, this double wall oven is the specific model I am having the most trouble with. Go to use it after paying the electrician to connect it, doesn't work, I get F0 errors. This error means the control board is fried. Call GE, they come and look at it very quickly, they confirm the board is shot on my brand new unit. They go to order the parts and they tell me it's on backorder until atleast June!!! Are you kidding me!! I now have to deal with GE who says they can't get me a new oven without several layers of approval and even that will take at a minimum 7 to 10 business days to get. Now I have to cancel Easter dinner that I was hosting for my entire family. Thank you GE!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best purchase! Don't hesitate to buy this double oven. I love mine and am thrilled with the decision to buy it. I have two teenage sons and we keep kosher, so I do a ton of cooking and baking. I use these ovens every day. The probe is my favorite feature - it keeps me from overcooking my foods, automatically turning off when the food reaches the desired temperature. I've never had this feature in an oven before, and I think it's brilliant. The light is bright enough for me to see everything inside without opening the door and losing valuable heat. Tons of space and plenty of options in terms of rack spacing. The fan, which in my last oven was much louder, is whisper quiet in these ovens. And it looks fabulous. Couldn't be happier.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice,But Purchased this oven in 2013. We are very happy with it except for the light bulbs. They do not last very long. The bulb for the bottom oven blew out the first year we owned the oven. The problem is, we rarely used that oven. Feb 2016 I am in the process of replacing two bulbs for the top oven, again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Tempurature Seemed to be great oven. I baught 2 dual ovens. They both had the problem of not holding temp at 400f. It ran all the way up to 460f and never dropped below 430f. Mind you i had the setting at 400f. But everything below 400f cooked fine. Most consumer ovens flux of 20f. But that was rediculous.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lightbulbs keep burning out! Lightbulbs started to burn out within 2 months of owning the unit and we've replaced them now five times. They keep burning out.
