We upgraded all of our appliances this year and used to have the GE Profile/white cooktop that had the knobs on the right. It was only 5 years old and I liked the fact that it had a bridge on the two left burners. I thought that I would miss that w/ this new unit but am very satisfied with the Large 12", 9", 6, burner on the front right. It does the job. I am still getting used to how hot this model cooks. It is hot like gas which I am not used to but am adapting fast. The best part is no knobs. Yey! The back left 9" 6" boil fast burner is also a very nice feature. Quick tip: When istalling make sure that your setting foam tape is as close to the under edge as possible, keeping in mind you don't want it to squish out when the weight of the cooktop is applied. If it is right at the edge it will not allow food/crumbs to get under the edge. Enjoy.

After having looked at quite a few different cooktops we decided on this one. It's sleak design goes very well with our coutertops. It's easy to use and very easy to clean. Cooking on it is very fast and convenient. Heating areas heat to the desired temp in no time. Great product!!!

It has a very eligant look, easy to clean and the variable elements are extremely useful.
Anyone concerned with the "scratches" as written in other reviews should realize that you are going to get this in any glass top cooktop if you do not take care of it properly. A sample of cleaner and sponge is included in the box and you simply need to follow the directions.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0Â by MHoncho Looks good and functional, but questionable durability
We replaced a 15-year old GE Profile glass stove top with this newer knobless unit. The old one gave great service and looked new after all these years. Cerama Bryte was used exclusively to clean the unit, and never damaged the surface. After 15 years we still had no scratches.
One stove eye was starting to work intermittently; while the control can be replaced, we were tired of cleaning around the knobs and were intrigued by the new knobless design. We replaced the unit recently with the new touch control unit.
We have cleaned the unit with the Cerama Bryte that came with it in the factory box and damaged the finish within a couple of weeks. The finish appears to be permanently damaged with a dull haze in several spots. GE customer service has been great, and very responsive. They sent a tech out to look at it, and promptly ordered a new top for it under warranty. We have not yet scheduled the installation of the new top. While I am pleased with GE's prompt service I am disappointed in the durability of this newer design. After a month the surface has several scratches in addition to the dull haze. I assume there has been a design change because the 90s unit was virtually bulletproof. (Unless the unit was defective and the replacement top will be more durable. )
