I have a 3 inch gap between the back of the stove and the wall. Can I put a telescope downdraft in that space ( there is a vent to the outside already in place) in that area with a slide in ? Any other suggestions for venting would be appreciated

Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 23 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Paired with a new gas cooktop and looks amazing! I recently renovated and replaced my island cooktop and telescopic downdraft with newer versions. This model is sleek and looks great paired with the 5-burner cooktop. The only feature that is somewhat odd is the operating button. Most are located on top of the downdraft itself, but this particular model comes with a separate operating pad. Fortunately my contractor was able to locate it on the outside of a cabinet for easy access. January 13, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Don't count on the rebate I purchased 4 eligible appliances on November 30, 2013 and the rebate form states that I should get $500 but I got only $300. I resubmitted the rebate form after contacting GE but I did not get it after several months. July 28, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great vent, but inconvenient controls I am happy with the performance of this vent. Multiple speeds and fairly quiet, but it was difficult to find an appropriate place to mount the control buttons. It turned out that my contractor found a way to mount it inside the cabinet.. but, I would have preferred to have integral to the vent itself. May 4, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Just what I needed I was replacing a downdraft radiant cooktop with an induction cooktop. While a few models of radiant cooktops are available with a downdraft vent incorporated into the design, an external downdraft is needed for the induction cooktop. This GE Downdraft Rangehood is perfect. It telescopes up when needed and telescopes down after cooking. This raising mechanism is very quiet. The vent is barely audible at almost all speed settings. Finally, the appearance of the GE Downdraft Rangehood is classy. March 14, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great features! I recently upgraded my kitchen, love the downdraft! March 3, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by GE Downdraft I purchased this downdraft to replace my GE downdraft. I thought it would have the same features and be easy to install but after 17 years you made some changes. The installer started to install it yesterday but has to come back today to finish. He said it was different and he didn't know how to install it. I don't like the remote. It has to be attached to my cabinet. January 28, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Downdraft is not quite strong I bought this model a week ago to replace my old downdraft vent system. The installation is a bit struggling due to the vague instruction. January 1, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ease of use Installed in new home and fits well on cooktp island December 5, 2015
