Answer:
Yes. It is a "slide in" model that is designed to overhang your countertops on either side about 1/4" for a custom, built-in look. I'm attaching a pic of the range the day they installed it so you can see how it overhangs. Love it!

Answer:
The width is fine but look at the diagrams to make sure you have the plug at the correct place in the back, it only fits in certain areas. Also make sure the height is fine because of the slight overhang onto the countertops. Measure the front and back height to top of counter on both sides. (We have and old house with slightly different measurements but it worked)

Answer:
Yes. As long as it is indeed 30" and your cabinets have not shifted or warped. However, you do have to be careful sliding it in if the lip on your countertops goes upwards at all. The cooktop is designed to overlap your counter by about 1/4 inch on each side. You either have to lift it over carefully or just adjust the feet all the way up.

Hello - this is Nancy at GE and I am happy to help you.
Yes, this unit is designed to fit in a standard 30" wide opening. It may be placed with 0" (flush) at the back wall and side walls of the cabinet. The cooktop of the unit is wider because it is designed to overhang the countertop.
I hope this helps! Thank you for checking with us!

It goes from 1 - 10 (10 shows as "H") by 1/2's. So thats...14 by my count? There is also a preset button on each element so maybe they count those seperately I'm not sure. (both on the left say "simmer", upper right says "melt", and lower right says....high boil? rapid boil? something like that). The induction is definitely awesome.

Hi Tatty2-this is Sue from GE. Thanks for your interest in our GE Profile™ Series 30" Slide-In Induction and Convection Range with Warming Drawer- PHS920SFSS. You will enjoy the innovative, fast efficient induction cooktop and True European Convection with Precise Air oven. Only in the PreciseAir and True European Convection Systems does the convection fan reverse direction to allow air to better circulate around the food. Performance testing has shown that reversing the fan produces more evenly browned baked goods, which eliminates the need for turning food or rotating pans.
The cooktop offers 19 power levels. Power levels range from Lo to Hi in precise half-step increments. For example; L, 1, 1 1/2, 2, 2 1/2, and up to Hi. The level "L", the lowest, is recommended for "Keep Warm".

Yes, you may use cast iron pots or pans on the induction range. We have cast iron flying pans that work very well on our induction range and heat up faster than a gas stove.

As well as as a gas stove, if not better. I primarily use my cast iron, enameled cast iron (e.g. le creuset type), and carbon steel (e.g. deBuyer) with my cooktop. It loves cast iron, and cast iron loves it.

Hello - this is Nancy at GE and I am happy to help you with regard to using cast iron on an induction range.
You must use a ferrous pan when using the induction coils on this range. You can verify your pan is ferrous if a magnet sticks to it. Quality cookware with heavy bottoms made of cast iron, magnetic stainless steel and enameled steel work best. For best results, use pans with flat bottoms. Some pans are made especially for induction cooking. Heavy enamel cast-iron pots produce less noise than lightweight steel pans.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 311 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Major concerns! I purchased this wonderful? range for my new kitchen remodel. I used it once and during that use I heard a 'pop' and all parts of the appliance stopped working, stove top and oven. I followed manual instructions and turned off the circuit for the time suggested. When I reset the circuit, I was able to use the oven once and no burner. I have not been able to use it since. I have contacted support and now waiting to get the new part which we think 'may' be the problem. It will be installed next week so my 'real' review will come after that time. I must say that I am very disappointed. I am anxious to use my new induction range. August 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Range Even my snooty brother was jealous of this range's features - warming drawer, warmer on top along with induction cooktop and fantastic oven. I was a lifelong gas range user but now induction is my first pick. October 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beats gas and a lot safer We have had our new GE induction range for 3 months and can not find a negative thing to say about it. We have learned very quickly how to use induction and it is what they say it is, fast, and safe. We are building our retirement home elder ready and this is a plus for us, safe , no red burner or gas, shuts off when there is no pot on the burner. Controls are soft touch and can easily be trued on without knowing but GE has a shut off built in to shut down the controls. Lots of safety features, boils quickly, oven is great, love the roll out oven shelve and the overall quality is excellent. The flat glass top is another plus as it is easy to clean. If you think gas is the only way to cook, then you need to try this stove. All of the big gas stove guys are now coming out with theirs and they are mucho bucks more. September 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by HOORAY! My family finally eats dinner!!! AWESOME! I must say, I have never been one to enjoy cooking and never thought I would but WOW was I wrong! This oven has truly been so amazing and I am just shocked at how precise the entire oven works. It fits so nice and clean into our kitchen and brings a more sophisticated look which that alone is appealing, but when I first turned on the oven, I was impressed with how fast it preheated and how fast just a pot of water began to boil! I am serious when I say that I have started cooking more for my family (which of course they like) because without any other way to describe it, this oven just makes me happy! I especially like how you don't have to lean over hot burners to turn knobs when cooking and that there aren't any knobs anyways! That is huge for me because I never felt capable of cleaning my old oven real good since the knobs would never really come clean (Severe OCD hinders my ability to accept things which are not problematic but in my mind seem to be). I'm even baking stuff like cakes which anyone who knows me well can testify how very out of character that is for me. Not any more. Folks, if you are seriously looking to purchase a new oven, I do hope you will really consider this exact model. I don't work for any companies, nor am I anything more than a housewife who cares for four boys and a husband so I hope you will keep that in mind when searching for your next oven because from my experience and genuine opinion, you will not be disappointed with this one! October 13, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The Best Induction Range! Until now, the only affordable induction range with touch controls. Easy to clean. GE know how to make good products. Can't beat GE profile quality at an affordable price. Looking forward to purchasing GE Profile refrigerator with built-in coffee maker! September 27, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by So far so good This is stove #3 in 14 months so cautious about feedback but so far so good , still in honeymoon phase right now so need to wait and see September 21, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by GE Induction slide-in range Works great. Like the power boil, water comes to full boil within a few minutes. Oven bakes much better and faster than our old stove. Sliding oven rack makes it safe and easy to put and take food into and out of oven. Would have given it 5 stars except warmer drawer seems a bit flimsy. August 15, 2016
