Its quieter than I expected and that was #1 for me. I wanted shelves that pull all the way out and weren't flimsy - that was #2 and I got that too!
For GE: I would like to see a digital temp display and I would like to have an alarm sound if the door is not closed properly and the temperature is rising. A lock would be a nice bonus!
For Home Depot: Nice job!

After some research and a Consumer Reports review we selected the GE Profile 57 bottle wine cooler through Home Depot. We choose to make the purchase through Home Depot because of free delivery to our home and competitive pricing with other internet sellers. The unit is performing as advertised and installed in a under cabinet location without difficulties. So far we are very happy with the purchase and Home Depot's role in delivering the cooler!

I purchased the GE wine refrigerator after having my "cheap" one fail again and couldn't find anyone to repair it. After researching wine refrigerators I decided to purchase the GE model because it was well built and offered a 5 year warranty on the refrigeration unit. I am very pleased so far..It keeps my wine at a constant temperature. Unlike my previous cooler the shelves pull out all the way with ease. The top shelve also provides enough space to store Pinot or Chardoanay bottles. The only negative I can come up with is that the unit does not have a temperature display. It does have a setting for either red or white which is okay. It is rated to store 57 bottles, which I think is a bit high. I can store 50 with now problem and probably could squeeze a few more in.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BobFenton A product built to last
Just received my GE Profile wine refrigerator. Purchased this product after another refrigerator failed again. You buy an inexpensive wine refrigerator and you get what you pay for. A cheap refrigeration unit that fails and inability to find someone to repair it when it does with shelves that are difficult to pull out an push in. The GE Profile wine refrigerator is built much better. The shelves pull out (all the way too) and go in with ease. The top shelve will actually hold pinot noir and chardonay bottles. This refrigerator is supposed to hold 57 bottles and will if you include mini bottles. The real capacity is 50 bottles, which is fine with me. I purchased the unit because it is much better construction and came with a 5 year guarantee on the refrigeration unit. There is no temperature display but setting it for reds will keep that a 55 degrees. Since I have just received the unit I cannot comment on how well it cools but other reviews I read before purchase were pleased with it.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by handymench very pretty, but
This cooler goes very well with our other profile appliances. Several compliments.
Holds temperature well
No lock. An issue with children
No display thermometer. How do I know its working.
Capacity is more like 36 bottles. You must remove the shelf above any shelf containing sparkling wine/champagne for the bottles to fit. Bottles over 750ml probably have the same problem. Even slightly oversize 750ml bottles will not fit 8/shelf, more like 4-5.
imo, a good trade-off between style and capacity for a casual collection. Anyone more serious about collecting should buy something bigger.

The unit performs as advertised. It is well made & exceptionally quiet. The instructions for locating the power outlet seem overly restrictive & the installation descriptions regarding the required extension beyond surrounding cabinet work are somewhat confusing. It is a good choice in both price & utility.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by BobLPhD Will not fit anything but Bordeaux wine bottles
If you only drink Bordeaux style wines (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot), you will find this product good, but very expensive. If you drink Rhone and Burgundy style wines (Syrah, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay), you will find that they scrape on the drawer above and the label scratches off. GE would have done much better to reduce the number of drawers and space the drawers ¼" wider. I would love to return this product, but it is too late. I read a review written in 2009 that said they had informed GE and would update if they got a satisfactory response. That 1 star review was never changed.

Great looking wine cooler. Capacity is excellent for its size. The closing mechanism could be improved since you have to verify that its closed! Also, the bottom drawers tend to stick when opening and closing.
