Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by CH GE isn't what it used to be
I purchased this oven in August of 2013. In 2 years and 8 months, I have had to have it serviced three times for a broken ignition switch with the first service call after 10 months of ownership. The problem is the convection oven turns on but will not come up to the proper temperature. When the repairman came out to fix it the first time, I asked him if he'd ever had to fix this problem in such a new oven. He told me he's had to fix this problem in ovens that were brand new and just out of the box. As I type this review, my oven is again not working for the same ignition switch problem except now the convection fan is also not working. GE charges $98 for every service call in addition to the cost of the repair. No one at customer service cares that the oven continues to break because of the same problem. They just keep saying there is nothing we can do because the product is no longer under warranty. I don't believe their products are built with the same quality that they were previously and to make the situation worse, their customer service leaves much to be desired.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by MzDee Great features, disappointed in manufacturers design flaw
We purchased this double oven in Nov, 2012 and it has been working great. Love the large capacity of the ovens and the grates across the full surface of the stove top. However, when opening and closing the top oven, the door scraps against the heat shield above the oven door. Recently, the top oven door would not close without force when heated. The service tech informed that this is a manufacturer's defect and the 'manifold eyebrow dips were there are no screws' causing the scrapping and expansion of the heat shield when oven is hot causing the top door to not close well. I am very disappointed with this design flaw in a GE product. And not sure of the long term effect of this issue.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lainie The best oven I have ever owned
I have been married for almost 45 years, and have had many ovens. This was is by far, the very best. It is sturdy and the temperatures are accurate. All of the burners do a great job, and I especially love the double oven, in which different temperatures can be used for cooking separate foods. This appliance was well worth the price. I highly recommend it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by KJWSr Very Versatile!
I have had this range for about 2 weeks. I love it. The griddle/grill is bona fide Lodge cast iron. It gets VERY hot. I do a log of baking and having 2 ovens is fantastic. The convection feature of the main oven means no more rotating cookie sheets half way through baking!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Michelle47 This stove offers the features of more expensive appliances at a great price.
On the stovetop, I absolutely love the power boil; it really makes a huge differene in the amount of time it takes to cook things. The simmer option is wonderful for melting butter and making Roux's.
The smaller upper oven has been the perfect size to make pizzas, casseroles, broiling nachos, warming tortillas, baking potatoes, and acts as the perfect warming drawer. It's great not having to heat an entire oven to do theses things. I love having the convection oven low so I can lift heavier things like turkeys and hams out and up versus having to bring big hot heavy pans toward me from above.
There are options to choose from such as the Sabbath mode with this oven; you just have to choose it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Suzejm Love the double oven and power boil burner
We Chose GE because of our great experience with our old XL44. Not disappointed! The small oven is great for everyday use. I don't feel like it's an energy hog for small jobs. Until you get used to the smaller oven height, be careful not to burn your fingers reaching in to check or grab food. Slide the rack out instead.
My only concern is with the knobs. Twice I've accidentally leaned on a knob and ignited a burner - barely escaping a dish towel fire. Also had this happen to a friend who was admiring my new kitchen. The controls need to have a little more resistance built into them to make them safer.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Angie33 I love my new Range & Double Oven
I just finished my kitchen remodel last month and I love, love, love my new appliances. The double oven is awesome and allows me to cook a pizza for the kids while cooking a pot roast at another temperature for later. If I only use the top, it doesn't heat up my whole kitchen - I can't wait until Thanksgiving!! The burners are heavy cast iron and heat up super fast! The express boiling water setting is great for getting the job done quickly. And the center burner is a must have for pancakes and grill cheese sandwiches. I don't know how I ever cooked before. One thing I have noticed is that the handles on my pots and pans heat up so I have to get better at grabbing those potholders! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
