Customer Reviews

Profile 6.8 cu. ft. Double Oven Gas Range with Self-Cleaning Convection Lower Oven in Stainless Steel is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 109.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Nice Range I love the look and functionality of this stove; it packs a lot of options into the 30" size. So far it performs very well; I really like the double ovens and the power burner. There are a couple of things that are a little annoying, so I will mention them here. First, the "Light" button turns the light on or off in BOTH ovens. If I'm not using an oven, I don't need it illuminated. Also, the arrangement of the grates on the stovetop makes it necessary to remove the center grate before removing either side grate. So, if there is a bit of cleanup required on the right side or the left side, the center grate has to be removed first. Those grates are HEAVY, so this is annoying. I'm also not crazy about the red and green lights on the display, but that's just personal preference. All in all, this is a great stove. Lots of features and very attractive. I'm really pleased with my new GE Profile.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Has Advantages and Things To Consider I've been using this range for approximately three months. Generally I'm pleased with it. The oven temperature settings are accurate and the burners on the cook top have more than enough power for the variety of cooking that I do there. The power boil and simmer setting are terrific. I really like having the five burners. The only disadvantage that I'm experiencing is that the cook top and the trim around it gets very hot and the heat is transferred to the metal of the microwave above it. I have to be careful that no young children are near the range when I'm using the oven and/or stove top. I also have to be careful cleaning the surface as it scratches easily. My last GE Profile range had a black enamel surface that didn't conduct heat as much and was easier to keep clean. I like the option that the two ovens provide. I'm finding that I have had to learn how to work with the two ovens as my previous range had one big oven and a warming drawer on the bottom. Since there is just two of us, I had thought that I would use the smaller oven for day to day cooking and both ovens for bigger meals when the family gets together. I'm finding however that I'm using the larger oven for day to day cooking more often. The smaller oven's heat source is close to the racks so I have had to adjust the temperature when using that oven. Because I often have to use the higher rack setting in the top oven, my choice of baking dishes is limited due to the height of the top oven. The bottom oven is working fine for me. I'm able to put multiple baking dishes at one one time with the convection option. Haven't tried to get a turkey into it yet but I don't think that that will be a problem for the size of the turkeys we usually get. The only disadvantage that I have experienced is that the oven is so low. Bending and removing baking dishes and sheet pans is a little tricky but I'm adjusting to it. Might be an issue with someone with strength or back problems. I needed a range with a double oven that would fit into a small kitchen. I'm pleased with the purchase and the quality and features of the appliance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Features i bought this stove two months ago and so glad I did. I really love the double ovens since I love to cook and bake.It helps cut my time in half. This is my first time baking with a convection oven and I am pleasantly surprised.Should have done this sooner!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Range I had a maytag top of the line prior to this, and it constantly broke because the knobs froze. I did a lot of research and found this GE. I choose it because the knobs looked of high quality and the burners are more spaced out than what I had before. In use for over a year our family has put it through its paces. I am a family of 7 and we cook 3 meals a day on this thing. The super boil is fantastic, the control in temperature is far better than what I am used to, and the most amazing feature is the oven. The gas oven that is convection does amazing cooking stuff evenly and quickly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this Range Get used to using lower temperature settings on the range. These burner put out some BTUs. More importantly we are enjoying the energy savings of the double oven. For 90% of what we cook, we only need the smaller oven. If you want proof of savings. Turn both ovens on and set to 400 degrees, and watch how much faster the smaller over preheats. Also, think how much less energy it takes to maintain the temperature setting in a smaller space. This has been a great purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME 3-ring power burner I've had this range for about 10 months. I love the cooktop! The 3-ring power burner is tremendous! I have a family of 7 and often cook using large pots. This burner is great for quick heating, or for stir frying. I find the ovens run a little cool. I often have to increase the temp or add extra time

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love my range Bought this a year ago so it has gone through holidays, daily cooking and a year of wear and tear. Overall i love this gas range. A couple thoughts are that it's not truly a 5 burner but i'm able to use very large pans on the 5th center burner and one of the double ovens has some issues reaching the temperature set. Additionally, the stainless steel on the range top has a habit of staining around the center burner and the medium setting for the gas on the range top is closer to a med-high, but it's all adjustable except for the power burner. Other than that, i love that i can bake multiple things and the control of gas when cooking on the range top. I would def purchase this product again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great oven without paying for a professional line The cooktop is easy to use, and has a wide range from super low to the power boil. I love having both ovens and they bake well. The only negative is the convection bake in the lower oven does not seem to cook both racks evenly while in operation.
