We have had this oven since April 2009. In January, 2012, it no longer would microwave. We've had the circuit board replaced, and it still does not work. We are looking now at replacing the magnetron. We have a 1985 Amana Radarange that works better than this one. We wanted one that was over the range and would work like an oven for small things like baking cookies. We would not buy again and we are writing to GE to complain. Read other reviews at other sites explaining other problems with this oven.

Our experience is limited to the last few weeks but so far our GE Advantium is cooking everything from crispy quesadillas to reheated Chinese food.
I read some reviews on a number of sites and the major complaints were the lack of a number pad (replaced by a dial) and the main door handle is chromed plastic. From my point of view the dial provides a superior user experience and the plastic chromed handle looks great and seems to be as durable as needed (again we've only had the unit for 3 weeks).
The Advantium is a little pricey for a microwave but we are constantly using the convection and speedcook capabilities. It is multiple cooking appliances in one.

I'm having a love affair with my GE Advantium 120 oven. It's beautiful, easy to use, and the pre-set speedcook menu selections cook the food to perfection!

This product is not up to the high standards I hoped for. Yes the product is energy efficient and we purchased this product one year ago. Over all I think the product is well made, however, the handle on the door is basically a piece of plastic with a chrome sticker on it. For the price I did not expect this? I have called and complained to GE about this issue and was told it would be over $150 to start to replace it. Since this product purpose is to be placed over the stovetop it should withstand high heat and not have a sticker on the handle. Therefore I would NOT recommend this unless you donât plan on using your stovetop.

What an overpriced product!
The advantiums pulls ALOT of power, either high amperage 110V or a dedicated 220V line($500 installation).
Then, since they are not designed to handle the amperage, system components start burning out. Door safety switches on ours have burned out over 8 times.
Plus the digital controls system and printed circuit boards are delicate and prone to breakdown.
We happily replaced ours with a $150 model that we should have bought to begin with.
