Does this come with the flow restrictor included?

The manual says that each time the RO cartridge is changed, you will need to replace the flow restrictor in the drain line as well.
Asked by: Smokey42
Yes, the flow restrictor and thin tube is attached to the outside of the filter by a rubber band. I needs to installed in the black water line next to the RO filter when it is installed between the pre and post filters. See the owners manual on how to remove the old restrictor and then install the new restrictor. Using a pair of small pliers can help.

Where is the membrane located

Asked by: panera4042
The membrane is inside the long cylinder click & lock filter replacement. The RO filtration system unit itself is usually mounted under your kitchen sink. Turn off your icemaker on your fridge if you have one and shut off water supply to the filter system. Turn on your faucet to drain your tank and turn off again once it is empty. The reverse osmosis filter is the middle one of the three and you rotate it to the left for removal. Make sure you replace the flow restrictor in the manifold with the one provided if you are changing out the the filter and sanitize the unit before turning it back on.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I have this system in my personal home. As a master plumber I only want the best product out there when it comes to plumbing fixtures. This system is absolutely the best reverse osmosis sytem I've used or installed. The filters are easy to change out. The quality of the water is amazing after it has been filtered through the system. My main concern is the availibility of this middle filter. It isnt available in stores and can only be aquired online.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to replace, but purging preservative tedious process Easy enough to replace, but having to refill and drain the RO tank many multiple times to eliminate the sanitizing chlorine, then again to remove the "food grade" preservative in the RO element itself after replacement is tedious and takes the better part of a full day or more (Can have to wait up to four hours for RO tank to refill after each complete drain process). Thankfully, the cartridges and RO element have lasted a long time, but I am not hydrating an entire family--just myself and two dogs-so not many gallons used per day. Also, by the time you buy the replacement cartridges and RO cartridge, you are close to paying for an entirely new system, although this particular system has been superseded by a newer version. Sadly, the filter cartridges are not interchangeable and these are no longer carried in-store. Only available now on-line. That said, I have been satisfied with the performance of the RO system and the water quality.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from ***you only need to replace this every two years; not every 6 months I went to replace the pre and post filters in this 3 filter system. Because the Home Depot did not carry the middle filter, the Revese Osmosis filter FQROMF, I went online to search for the best brice. On a competitor website it lists that this filter lasts 2 years!!! So, then the $78 dollars looks a bit better. The other two filters, however DO need to be replaced every 6 moths. It costs $45 for the two pack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reverse osmosis filter I am a general contractor. I have been using this system since 1996 when they had a canister type system that was difficult to change. Now with this new cartridge system it is much easier to replace the filters. The cost of the filter is worth the quality of the clean water you get. I live in an area with older water mains so there are allot of solids in the water which requires me to replace the pre-filter more often than the 6 months because they get clogged. Think of the alternative, we would be drinking all those solids! Great system, highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product provides pure water, better than bottled After following the installation instructions, friends and guests ask about my water source. They can't believe the taste and NO floating particles when the ice melts!
