I have a outlet outside that keeps tripping the breaker I replaced the outlet because water got inside of the water proof box and it still keeps tripping the breaker. Does that mean that the breaker is bad and I need to replace it.

Answer:
You need a "Extra Duty" cover installed on a WP box, for the receptacle.
Dry out all the wiring and install a new receptacle, if it shows signs of moisture..
Take extra care to seal the box and keep the cover closed (run the cord out the bottom knock-out)
The slightest amount of moisture will trip any GFCI.

My electrical and water pump are located in my basement. In case of accidental water line breakage I want my well pump to cut off and protect my house from flooding. Would the breaker automatically shut down if moisture was detected?

Answer:
Hi Clyde,
Thank you for your question.
According to the MFG, A GFCI breaker does trip if moisture causes a loss of amperage to ground (same as a gfci outlet).
Hope this helps.

What does the 2.25" make reference to on the GE THQL2120GFP breaker? All the other breakers in the panel are 2 inch wide.
