I purchased a 4 pack of these bulbs as I wanted to replace a burned out bulb in a 4 bulb fixture. The original bulbs were the real 60 watt reveal bulbs purchased when I installed the fixture. The fixture is above a bathroom mirror and you can see the bottom of the bulbs if you look up.
They are ugly. I thought it was just a bad bulb but all 4 are similar. There are noticeable dark spots and a dark line through the bulb when lit and the color of the light is different than the original bulbs.
Why ruin a beautiful fixture with an ugly light bulb. It's not worth the pennies saved on 17 watts / blub. Add to that you can order the 6 bulb pack of the original bulbs for $2 less than the 4 pack of these. You're not really saving anything if these don't last a lot longer than the original bulb and they apparently don't as the stated average life is less than a year at 3 hours / day.

These bulbs use less electricity than standard bulbs and are brighter as can be seen by the enclosed photos.

This lightbulb install was quite simple and these new energy efficient lightbulbs are doing a great job in keeping the room well lit.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by MacHic Better than the original energy efficient bulbs
I will forever be a big fan of the old incandescent bulbs. When the energy efficient bulbs came along a few years back, I was hopeful but didn't really care for the quality of the light. Seemed dimmer and darker than the old incandescent bulbs. These new halogen bulbs give off better, brighter light than the older energy efflicient bulbs but still not the same as the good ol' Edison's bulbs. The Reveal bulbs have a more natural/true light I guess but I like the soft white better. No problem with the how long they are lasting when compared to other reviewers' comments.

I tried uploading pictures but the system times out which is unfortunate. I have two lamps, a table and stand side by side. Both have the same shades on them. The lamp with the 43W Reveal Bulb is much brighter and whiter than the 60W incandescent bulb in the tall lamp.
Our lamps are normally on for 6+ hours daily so I don't expect to get the "average" life from them, but they are brighter and use less energy and that reflects on the electric bill.
I'm so impressed I am going to replace ALL the bulbs in the house with these!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by LTUSNRET THEY DO HELP REVEAL ITEMS IN A ROOM.
As for energy efficient they are rated to last almost nine (9) years, I will have to get back to you on that.
We put two (2) in the living room coffee table lamps, they did brighten up the room, and are using less energy the the Curly Que lights I had in. I put another one in a lamp we have in the kitchen, again we experienced a bright lamp. The fourth one however burned out in 10 minutes, I guess it time traveled to nine (9) years in the future.

I just bought a pair of outdoor weathered bronze lanterns for the front of my house and used these bulbs in them because I wanted something energy efficient. I leave the outside light on all night for security reasons and wanted to try to save some money. I did not expect them to be as bright as they are for 60 watts. I was very happy about that. They brighten the entire front of my home, and I no longer have to struggle to find the keyhole when coming home in the dark.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Sswan99 Quality is getting worse on these
We buy the reveal because my wife likes the natural light that these provide, the color of the light is nice but the quality of these bulbs is just awful. I've had 10 of these burn out in the last 2 weeks, most of which are only 3 months old or less. For the price, these just aren't worth it. They're too expensive to have to replace every 3 months.
