CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.2 out of 5 by 53 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This is a must for every shower. I have used this product to filter the chlorine water that comes out of the shower head and i found it to be very effective. When i learned what kind of a damage chlorine in water could do to our human skin and hair, i decided that i must take action to remove chlorine from the shower water. Before using the shower filter, my skin were always dry and my hairs falling off a lot, as a result of chlorine's bad effect. But now, those problem were gone after installing the shower filter. Studies had shown that tap water contains high amount of chlorine, and a small amount of chlorine could do so much harm to humans. Chlorine could cause liver, kidneys problems when it attacks the body for enough long period of years. By the way, when we shower our skin absorbs the chlorine water.Thats why i find it so important to use the shower filter to remove the chlorine from the shower water. January 31, 2009
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works well, but plastic design makes me nervous The GE Shower water filtration system works well for me. I noticed my skin isn't as dry after taking a shower, and it is softer. My only complain is that the threads are made of plastic. I move the shower head around often and now I'm paranoid about breaking the plastic. June 20, 2011
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by not very good design not very good, it should be facing down instead of up. November 21, 2011
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Cheaply Made. Do Not Buy! As previous reviewers mentioned, there are design flaws. In order to keep it from leaking, you have to make it tight. But the nylon/plastic pieces where it connects are weak. I have broken three of these already. Not one has made it a whole year. They need to use better/stronger materials. Save your money and buy something else. November 6, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Don't buy, I purchased 4 of them or maybe 5 because they keep braking I purchased 4 of them or maybe 5 because they keep braking. I tried to call GE but after waiting about 45 minutes i hang up. I wanted to let them know that the material they used are very bed quality and keeps braking. cant even bring back to Home Depot i don't see them on the shelf and don't see different brand. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by POOR DESIGN FILTER BODY BREAKS AND DISCONNECTS FROM SHOWER INPUT PIPE. NO STRENGTH IN PLASTIC JOINT !!! AFTER 6 MOS. ERIC November 4, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Design flaw If you have a heavy shower head and/or adjust the shower head a lot, I would not recommend this filter. There is a small piece of plastic under the nut that is used to screw the filter on to the water line that is a weak point. The weight of your shower head and constant adjustment will cause that plastic piece to separate from the rest of the filter making your filter useless, not to mention leak water everywhere. GE needs to make this part out of metal. If you have a light shower head and do not move it a lot then you will have no problem with this filter. February 22, 2009
