PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Caulk has to have enough time to build adhesion to the surface and cure or dry adequately so it won't wash away when exposed to water. That means if rain is in the forecast, homeowners and pros typically will have to delay or cancel a project when using most caulks. If not, the rain might wash the caulk away and the job will have to be redone. Silicone caulk, such as GE Silicone II Gutter and Flashing, develops strength and adhesion quickly so it can be exposed to water in as little as three hours. Some caulk requires up to 24 hours or longer before it is exposed to water. For homeowners trying to squeeze home maintenance projects into the weekend or pros who are looking to move to the next job, GE Silicone II can decrease the waiting time, helping increase convenience, speed, and efficiency.

  • 100% silicone formula maintains its water-resistant and flexible properties over time
  • Resists shrinking, cracking and crumbling over time
  • Adheres to a wide variety of surfaces
  • Sun and freeze resistant
  • BioSeal offers mold and mildew resistance
  • Dries to the touch in approximately 30 minutes

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Completing my Honey-do list The caulking was very easy to use, and worked very well replacing the worn out caulking on our shower February 17, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The "Glue" for Glass Sculptures! I did not purchase this item for the use intended...gutter and flashing caulk. It was recommended for use in creating glass sculptures that can be placed outside...especially in flower gardens. So far it seems easy to use and control; much better than squeezing a similar product from a tube. The "creations" will be Christmas gifts for my family. I don't know how well the product performs yet as I have not had the opportunity to place a sculpture outside. If it holds up as well as recommended during the Spring, Summer and Fall, I will be a happy gardener! November 6, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I've found my new exterior clear caulk! I've found my new go to clear silicone exterior caulk. It comes out smoothly no matter the size opening you cut. Can us it in fairly cold temperatures to seal what's needed so long as you don't need to paint it. January 27, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to apply with caulking gun and sealed roof leaks nicely Had no problems with application of this product for a roof leak. Dried to firm but pliable surface impervious to rain in 3 hours as advertised November 5, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by worst If possible, I would give the product a minus five. The day after sealing some seams, I checked and the consistency was the same as petroleum jelly just like it came out of the tube. I tested again by putting a 1 inch bead on a board and two days later it is still the same. It doesn't solidify at all. Maybe I got a bad tube but it has no usefulness as caulk. Now I have a mess of trying to clean it off and put on some good caulk. That's next to impossible and nothing sticks to silicone. Save yourself some headaches and test it before using it. Better yet, buy a different brand. April 1, 2014
